I definitely share your concerns. However. I wonder if it will be taught by another professor in the near future.
There were two sections in AP1 for MKT701, James and TBD. I rolled the dice and switched from James to TBD in the hopes of avoiding the exact thing I'm seeing but unfortunately came up snake eyes and got James in the end anyway (she's teaching both sections). Take away here is that I wouldn't hold your breath for a regime change.

TigerDragon,
I did the same, and selected the TBD. I'm thinking along similar lines about the future. It seems we'll HAVE to take James at some point. At least now, we're 3 weeks into it.. Not a lot of point in hitting the reset button just find myself in the same situation next term.
ugh.

Agreed.
I knew this going in. I've taken MADM701, ECON705 and now MKT701 all as standalone classes. I want to get these heavy workload classes out of the way and then start doubling up.

Is there anyone here taking ISDS 702 this term?
I am. I got a perfect grade on the practice test week 1, then I guess I was over confident in the week 2 material and bombed the HW questions. I should have waited until later in the week to follow the discussion board and such. I took the quiz early and the week and almost died when I saw my score. I couldn't believe it. Partly because I had perfect scores in my undergrad stats class, so it was a slap in my own face to shite the bed on the first graded assignment.
In addition, I am in MKT 701 that everyone has been talking about. This is going to be the longest next 4 weeks of my life. And right in the middle of Mardi Gras. :banged:
If the James assignment was both parts combined that would be one thing, but what the hell is part 2 of this thing going to look like?!?

Can anyone shed some light on MADM 751 with Meeks? I have a 4 page Word document with notes I’ve taken from this forum (yes, I’m that person), but I don’t have much info about MADM 751. I appreciate any insight!

Family business from perspective of the family. Was my favorite course of the entire program. Gained more emotional intelligence from that one course than you could imagine.
There’s a lot of writing and a lengthy final paper. Mine took the reader through most of the text sections with one fictional family business - he liked that a lot.
If he’s still doing video lectures, learn how to play them at 1.5x speed as he’s a slow talker.

I did the online RN-BSN through NSULA. I found the cost was lower than ULL and the advisors easier to work with. Most of the course work is still writing and busy work no matter which program.
Good luck

I think Meeks is one of the best Professors in the program. He's always available. Google this book: "The Lean Startup" by Eric Ries, its what MADM 751 is mostly based upon. The subject matter is very interesting and you can use it immediately in the real world. Meeks does put you in a group where you have to do weekly video conferences, but IF you have a great group, it's enjoyable. You also have to weekly writing assignments which are not hard at all. Finally, you have a final paper based on the all of the topics you wrote about in those weekly assignments. He just wants to know that you learned the subject matter and can write about it intelligently. I don't think its too much work, i'm currently taking MADM 751 and MADM 701(with Knotts) while working a full time job. I took Meeks for MADM 760 too, the class setup is almost identical. An "A" is achievable in both of Meeks' classes( MADM 751 & 760). Sorry about any grammatical errors, i'm using my cell phone.

Thanks nogoodjr for the info. My wife's untimate goal is to get her Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree. Currently she has a Masters in Microbiology and her 2-year RN degree. So thinking about taking an RN to MSN online program and then tranferring into an NP program. The most popular and cost effective way to get the MSN seems to be doing the online program with Western Governors University. If you can finish in a year it's less than $8,000. WGU charges by 6-month terms - not per credit or per class. So you save by taking as many classes as you can within that time period. Tuition is around $3,800 per 6-month term.

Anyone have any idea when we can register for summer AP 1 and 2?
Posted on 1/31/18 at 3:42 pm to socal77
@ socal
I would avoid Western Governors. I had a nurse who works for me do it. They delay responses, push back deadlines, and make everything more difficult to make you extend your commitment. From my understanding they made it basically impossible to complete in the set time so that you would have to pay for another 6 months. Sounded sketchy to me. Research it for sure.

The MKT 701 work load is pretty heavy, but I do feel better after getting the grade on the application forum. I ended up with a 100 so the graded really isn't that hard if its consistent throughout the other assignments. I just went through, answered and explained each question that was asked with minimal changes and proof reading.

So I have been approved to register for my first class in the program. There is not much left for the AP2 session. Here are my choices
ECON 705 White
ISDS 705 Gibbs
MADM 760 Heller
I am wanting to start with a Core course but all the preferred professors for these courses are full. Any info or suggestions are appreciated.

Every coach is different and thus every section and even student may get their grades at a different time. That said I believe the target is for all the grades to be posted by Thursday. I received my application forum grade this morning.

Sometimes y'all are hilarious.
All I did was inform on the truth of what was happening in Ambrosio's class and that you can't take what he says as the way things are, and somehow that meant I was denigrating his class, his responsiveness, his {insert your pet Ambrosio attribute here}. And, no, I don't have to wait for the end of the class to comment on what is already fact.
As for some of your suggestions to express my displeasure and putting it on the forum, it is explicitly forbidden by him to do so, so I won't be doing that. BUT, I am not displeased with him. I am informing others. I haven't missed a single question on his quizzes or assessments, and I am in charge of the financials in my firm, so I am not looking for extra credit or a grade adjustment, and i am not sruggling.
And, just so you know, Ambrosio posted this little gem in the forum on the topic I discussed in the post that y'all got offended by, so even he acknowledges what I have said:
AMBROSIO: "When I record those videos, I am not reading a script. I am being spontaneous. You should not take my videos as “truth.” I simply do my best to give you advice."
In other words, you can't count on what he says.
