Aurebelman check out this video. It made the assignment a lot better for me. LINK

9BREES9 how would I access this? Are you already signed up for his Fall AP1 Session? I'm planning on taking this class in fall as well.

Thanks Robbie. I finished the homework after watching a few videos.
Has anyone taken the exam in Human Resources (Kuungu). I'm guessing based on the practice that it only covers the book?

I took the HR exam. It wasn't terrible, but you have to read the questions carefully. Had plenty of time to check my work. Definitely focused on the text like the practice. Got a 92%.

Jkdaven, yes I'm signed up. I wouldn't imagine he takes anything down as Vines is pretty relaxed.

FIN 701 was the first class I took in the program last semester and it's not bad at all. Dr. Vines is awesome

Just took the FIN 710 test. It was harder than I was expecting after taking Vines for 701. Going to have to play catch up now

Planning on taking it tonight. I find Hsieh to be difficult. He tests as if you've studied the formulas for years. So, his questions make you think of ways to maneuver to a solution. (Usually, not simple follow the basic formulas.) At least that's how it seemed in 720. Same this time?
Not that it's a bad thing, it's just difficult with the time constraints.

Ugh... not what I wanted to hear. Hoping to take it tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'm not sure what more I can do to prepare for it.
I miss Vines.

That is discouraging.
Does it at least tell you the numbers you got wrong?

Don't let me discourage you guys too much, I still made a 81%, but considering my lowest test score with Vines was a 97% I thought I would do a little better.
I can't review anything on the test right now but I do think I read somewhere that after the exam closes we will be able to review the test. I think there was one question for sure that did not have the correct answer as a possible choice.
Yea LSU I did feel like there was a couple questions where I had to manipulate the formula to solve for a different variable. I could have been way off on those types of problems though. Couple questions the structure and info given seemed weird, different than the practice problems I had done.
Hopefully I can prepare better for the next text, chapter one was just a whole lot of information and there was a lot more true or false statement questions than I expected. I probably didn't focus enough time on reading the material in the book. Good Luck

For the isds 705 folks, are you all still studying really hard knowing it's open book? How are you all preparing for the test?
Posted on 7/14/17 at 7:11 pm to wolfpack714
Wolf, I've been putting off ISDS 705 until today(After I took FIN 710 test) so I am not sure how to attack it. Seems like a whole lot of reading to try and get through all of it before Wednesday. I am watching the videos and put all the key terms on one page with their definitions and have that printed out for easier reference to hopefully save time to use on other sections of the test. This is my first tech class so kind of shooting in the dark on how to study. Curious to hear other methods as well.

As far as ISDS 705 is concerned, I'm just following his instructions verbatim. I don't like surprises, despite it being open book/notes. Personally, I've taken all the questions & combined them into a word file, did the same thing in separate word files for the PPTs, definitions, & notes. I also put the transcripts of the videos in a word file too... but I honestly don't think this overkill on my end is necessary (better to have it & not need it than to need it & not have it), but if his example in Moodle of how his test questions will be (as in after the question is asked he gives you a reference page number to where to find the answer in the book) are any indication as to how it will be then I think we'll be good to go.... but you NEVER know

So I just took my first MADM 710 exam and I am completely flustered & agitated!!! My ProctorU experience was so bad I emailed the professor with my complaints, which I have never done before. First of all, the proctor was a male which made me fairly uncomfortable as i'm a woman. Second, it took nearly 30 minutes to go through all their requirements. I had to rotate my computer in front of my bathroom mirror, take pictures of all parts of my bedroom and bed, close my closet door and bathroom door, show him where I Had my phone a couple of times, etc. I made a high B on the practice before even studying yet made a C on the exam because I was so upset!

My proctorU experience was bad as well. It took 22 minutes to get started. They changed all kinds of setting on my computer, had to configure the laptop all kinds of ways to show them the room, floor, walls, etc.
Made an 80 but don't suppose I can blame it on the proctor. It was a tough exam, imo.

Just took the FIN 710 exam. Thought it was really tough. Got a highish B and I'm satisfied with that but man that was exhausting.
