Honeymoon - Bahamas or St Lucia

Anyone have experience at either of these spots - recommend it for a honeymoon? All inclusive? They both look pretty nice. Not ruling out other stuff but we are thinking one of these two right now.
Thanks
Thanks

How do they compare with price and travel time?

Bahamas is like $60 more per day so slightly more.

St Lucia >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bahamas
Bahamas is a shithole.

This.
If you can swing St. John or St. Thomas you will be happier. The BVI are great also.

I'd go to st Lucia just because I work with a guy from there.

Bahamas- if you go, stay on one of the out islands. Exuma is where we went and loved it.
St Lucia- beautiful island that feels more like a Hawaiian island due to its steep climb inland. Very lush. Anse de Chasanet is a wonderful resort and is where we stayed. The one a little higher on the hill beside it is called Jade Mountain Resort and is quite a bit more expensive. If you can afford it....stay there. Anse de Chasanet it just a step down in luxury but still very, very nice. They have a good website if you want to check it out.

In St. Lucia I'd recommend Sugar Beach. Its in between the Pitons and on the beach. I'm not an all inclusive guy, but food options in St. Lucia are limited. If you want something different look up the mountain at Ladera. It only has three walls and has great views. I've heard good things about cap Maison but I haven't been there. If money isn't an option, check out jade mountain.
I haven't done the Bahamas, but may be going this fall.

What resorts are you looking at, and are you just talking room rates, not airfare?
I haven't been to St. Lucia, but I would think it's a better destination for a Honeymoon than the Bahamas.
Make sure you stay at an adults only resort, wherever you go.
If you're not anti-mexico...look into the Riviera Maya area (South of Cancun). We stayed here and it was awesome

Buddy of mine is there this weekend. He's hooked up with the owner of a resort there. Apparently Exuma is top notch.

If other places are in play...
I do like St. John and BVI, but stay away from St. Thomas. It's pretty dirty.
St. Martin/ St. Maarten (not bvi) is one of my favorites.
St. Bart's is for real ballers.
Parts of the Almafi coast are real nice.
Speaking of Italy, Cinque Terre is pretty awesome. You'd want to see other stuff as well...
St. Lucia is good. You won't go wrong there. It's a little tough to get around the island on wheels.

St Lucia, you may also want to look into Costa Rica.

My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon to St. Lucia. We did the Sandals all-inclusive at their Recency La Toc (which seemed like the "younger" crowd resort; we visited all the resorts).
We went for 7 nights but 5-6 would have been enough to do everything and not get bored.
Joes Knows Tour was amazing.
