Watching the summer re-runs and this is pretty good. Like a Jewish Wonder Years from the 80s. Barry is good shite. What ya think?

Love it.Even though as a child of the 80's i notice sometimes where their pop culture references are a bit off.

Great show. Big Tasty is the best character too.

Love it! My favorite comedy on right now. Great references and casting.
It seems like a mix between the Wonder Years and That 70's show.
Wonder Years for the style and voice over. 70's show for the period references and humor

Love it, one of my favorites right now.
Love Erica too, Hayley Orrantia is cute.
I also love that it's a bit of a true story of the family from the creator and how they show real life footage from back in the day at the end of the episodes.

It's funny. It's not up there with Modern Family and Parks and Rec, but it's funny.

Great show, hilarious. I was born in 86 so some of the references were a bit before my time, but I am still old enough to at least understand them. They casted the show perfectly as well. Hopefully they have enough stories for 5 or 6 more seasons.
ABC had a really nice lineup there for awhile with this and Marvel AOS.

This brings it home. Seeing the real footage of Barry giving Adam a noogie was like every older brother ever.

Well written, good fun, some are better than others, but all watchable.

If you took this show and made it modern day, it would be boring and incredibly average. However the amazing 80s references and outfits make for a great trip down memory lane.

They are purposefully off. It's why when the show starts off they do not give an actual year...it's like, "It was October 1980 something..."
It's actually very smart to do that,I think because like you, I'm of that era and would notice immediately if dates and references were off. I'm sure the creators just decided to say frick it and not even bother to keep it all straight and just use what they want when they want.
And agree on the show...very funny. Pretty much the only network show I bother to watch, even recorded, at this point.

Exactly. It was funny when they had Barry in a Structure shirt from 1993. That show is really good.
