LBJ will never match MJs six

This was it IMO.
He is 29 so he has maybe 6-7 years left of playing at this level if he is lucky.
The big 3 are toast so at best he will lose 1-2 years switching teams and building up wherever he goes. This loss pretty much eliminated him from catching MJs 6 due to the closing window.
For all the people that will say sarcastically "that its better to lose in the early rounds than the finals" lets not forget LBJ has lost in the early rounds too and unfortunately, for legacy and perception purposes, it is better. 6/6 vs 2/5 is all people will remember and talk about.

LeBron should have signed with the Grizzlies. Instead of the Heat. He would have won more titles and nobody would have accused him of trying to join a super star team.
Yes, because people are stupid.

It's looking iffy. I concur.

MJ played in a way weaker era. Lebrons went up against tougher competition

Jordan 6-6, LeBron 2-5.
LeBron will win 1-2 more but he's already too far behind. Really not much to say beyond that.

He will get 2 maybe 3 more, but yes 6 seems very unlikely now.

How many did MJ have at 29?
Technically just the one but we can't really hold it against him for turning 30 in season.

Tell that to the Eastern Conference.
BTW, I hardly consider Magic Johnson, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Karl Malone and John Stockton weak competition, with Ewing and Reggie Miller in the East. I think the competition is comparable.

2 but the team and coaching around him only got stronger.
LBJ doesn't have that luxury if he stays in Miami and if he leaves he would have to land in a really good situation to not lose too many years of getting back to the Finals.

Oh gosh!...Can you please tell me what the lottery numbers will be?
Just playing though bro.

James is such a head case that once he's past his prime he won't be that valuable to a contender IMO. He's got to be head clown on any team he's on.
He will be fortunate to win 1 more.

I think late in his career he will be like Shaq jumping to a new team every year just hoping to win one more.

Technically, he just got traded a lot

He'll match it if he signs with the Spurs.

And it was always magically to a potential contender

And this comes after getting his arse handed to him

i won't agree fully yet, but what this series show is how pointless that comparison is
LBJ was a BEAST in this playoff series. wins (and championships) are team stats. they shouldn't be used to compare players
