lets answer this one question.

is it harder to get any drugs since we have started the war on drugs?

my answer hell no. if the people want it, the people will get it. it doesnt matter if its fake handbags or crack cocaine.

drugs arent bad. its the people that cant handle their drugs thats the problem. plenty of people use drugs everyday and function just fine. if your an addict thats your problem. not mine as a taxpayer.

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. "Proven in CO"? They haven't harmed anyone but themselves. Stupid arse cops pulling people over for "drugged driving" =/= "harming others". They're just shooting fish in a barrel pulling them over.

Sadly, this shows the WoD exists even where MJ is legal. It's all about money and has nothing to do with your "safety".

You realize that is basically what a DUI is right? People drive while high and kill people, this isnt a debatable fact.

I can't find specifics on 2014, probably are just compiling data and not releasing it as the year goes on. Might try looking for the specific story that I heard later on today.

Here is some info, not sure of its legitimacy, but there are facts that are easy to verify if you disagree.

I ask again northshorebama, what are your reasons for wanting ot legalized?

My home county was dry until 2006. Do you think this had any effect on alcohol consumption or DUIs?

Yes there were probably more DUIs as the drunks had to drive farther drunk to get home.

What have I made up? You acted as if methheads would cycle themselves out and legalizing the product would speed it up.

How many people do you think choose not to smoke meth only because it's illegal?

Maybe he believes in freedom and dislikes hypocrisy? Why do you want to control other people's lives?

I'm not nsb, but I support it. The main thing is because there really isn't any reason why it shouldn't be. I've only very brifely looked at the first and last pages so I'm sure alll of this has been discussed, sorry.

-It IS safer that alcohol. Period. You say "well people have killed people driving high"..so? People also kill people while texting but we don't outlaw phones. Do you know how many people smoke now recrationally? Tons. Hundreds of thousands. People are already smoking and driving NOW, keeping it illegal isn't going to change that. Also, nobody has ever, in the history of earth, died from overdosing on marijuana. It's not possible.
-The streets would be safer, by far. Do you see people on street corners hiding packs of cigarettes and trying to sell them discreetly? No. Why not? Because if someone who is of age wants cigarettes, they'll just go to teh store and buy them. If someone of age wants to buy weed if it is legal, they'll do the same. All these drug dealers on street corners won't be fighting for turf, shooting each other up, and trying to sell weed to anyone who walks by. Of course, they'll still peddle coke and whatever else they do, but that's another matter. Your lower level people just selling a quarter of weed here and there will be out of business.
-The gov't can make a ton of money on it. It would be just like tobacco. Regulate the growing, put it in stores and tax it.
-A grown arse adult shouldn't be prevented from smoking if they feel like it. We aren't talking about heroine or meth here, it's just weed. If someone wants to come home and smoke a bowl after work in their own home, the gov't shouldnt' be able to say they can't. If alcohol is legal, there is NO reason why weed shouldn't be as well.

Of course it's not a joke. Do you think addiction is funny? Do you think poverty caused by crack dependence is some hilarious punchline? Do you think some guy getting all hopped up on marijuana and raping a girl is funny?

The sellers of these drugs

sellers =/= users

Shouldn't arrest someone for having a crack addiction and possessing a crack pipe. We should treat them.

And thats for narcotics. Non-addictive stuff shouldn't be illegal. Period.

I wrote a paper on this.

Basically, for certain drugs regulation should be used but overall, no one should tell a human what to do with their body.

So you support violence then? That's what you are enabling by supporting the war on drugs and keeping drugs illegal. Legalize, regulate, and tax it and the dealers will be out of a job overnight.

Why do you feel like it's your right or responsibility to tell other people what they can and cannot put into their own fricking body?
