So he threw it like a coaches pitch does to a six year old.
Not impressive. Not a strike.

Nice to see Tadano get a chance in Japan after they blackballed him for making gay porn.

Is the strike zone a 3D box? Because if so, it fell right in.

The STRIKE ZONE is that area over home plate the upper limit of which is a horizontal line at the midpoint between the top of the shoulders and the top of the uniform pants, and the lower level is a line at the hollow beneath the kneecap. The Strike Zone shall be determined from the batter's stance as the batter is prepared to swing at a pitched ball.
Definitely 3-d. It's a 5 sided (maybe 4 sided depending how you interpret it) geometrical shape.
And that was certainly a strike.

No.

We would need to see the side angle, but you can't definitively say it's a ball.
The catcher caught it very low in the zone.
I agree it might be a ball after looking at it again, in softball the ball would need to hit the ground very close to the back of the plate to be a strike, but it's close.

Hey Paul, stop. It was close. We need another angle.

Yes we can. The umpire called it a ball.

Ball or strike, it's funny as frick. Could you imagine what was going through the batter's mind when he saw the ball go up 20 feet in the air? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
