Amazon currently uses some 1,000 robots by Kiva Systems, a company it bought for $775 million in 2012, to fill its customers' orders. Now CNN reports that Amazon will have 10,000 robots doing the same by the end of this year.
CEO Jeff Bezos revealed the plan to double down on robotics during a shareholder meeting and emphasized that despite the popular sci-fi theme of robotic uprising, no humans will lose their jobs as a result of the increased robotic workforce.

manufacturers are the ones that do that. and its real easy to spot the fake ones if you aren't an idiot.

quickly for me, find the following
- best tv mount at amazon
- best king size sheets
- best teapot
- best router (lol @ medialink)
- your favorite product
in each case you'll have to get past the TSUNAMI of reviews for the 'best in category' (even has a little badge) or find you've just bought something very mediocre.
you think the medialink fiasco was a fluke? you think $75 for that tv mount is a great deal? its got 7,000 reviews mind you...

You have to read the reviews, you cannot rely on the star count alone.
if your top liked review is one star, you know you have problems.
The proof is in the comments!
But its not amazon, its really manufacturers that are posting the bogus reviews.

Sweet.
Will prices go down?
I love how companies with money and brains branch out and try things...all the while advancing their company.

while i agree, AMAZON is the one providing their blessing.
Look at all those categories I listed.
Each one has some unknown/shitty/no name/medicore/shite product that gets the coveted
"AMAZON #1 BEST SELLER IN CATEGORY"
yellow badge.
so Amazon is willingly allowing this to happen..its not just those examples..its all over Amazon.
In the case of those sheets, they DOMINATE the results yet its obvious one "most helpful" review (5 stars) is a scam because the SECOND "most helpful" review is ONE STAR and the person even uploaded a video to warn people what a scam those bed sheets are.
showing how shitty those sheets are.
Yet they are running away with the category still.
This is like someone sneaking into Kroger and replacing JIF peanut butter with JIP and unsuspecting shoppers keep buying it without knowing they're being duped.
all these companies have learned the value of SHELF SPACE at amazon; and they're gaming the system to gain that coveted YELLOW BADGE.
go look around. you'll be shocked.
