The fireproofing around the steel was destroyed by the impact of the planes. The fire was kept going by the office contents. The exposed steel eventually gave way, leading to progressive collapse.

Even if someone respected told the CIA "soon, terrorists will use a commercial plane to attack a building, we know this for a fact" the rest of the conversation would go as follows:
CIA: "Ok, what airport will it be?"
Foreign Intel: "Don't know."
CIA: "...what state will it be in?"
Foreign Intel: "Don't know."
CIA: "Will the plane depart from the US at all, or be international?"
Foreign Intel: "Not sure."
CIA: "Ok, well can you at least say what you mean by soon? As in tomorrow, or next spring, or in a year?"
Foreign Intel: "Soon."

Can you show me an example of this happening somewhere other than 9/11?

Plus, depending where it came from, we'd be concerned that
a) It was false information intended to reveal US plans for responding to such an attack (or simply to take a toll on our economy); or
b) we're not getting the full story and that some other entity/country wants us to do something for them, which happens all the time. So they play up our fears about terrorism to get us to target some organization or entity they're frightened of. Like the Saudi royal family and pretty much any Islamic extremist org.

Could have easily started assigning more security to each plane, and at risk of offending people, say frick it and start profiling some browned skinned arab folks.

Well, there are very many instances of fully fueled jumbo jets flying directly into steel structures.
Just because it has never happened before doesn't mean it can't happen.
There are examples of progress collapse though. Look up the Windsor Tower fire in Madrid in 2005.
The Oklahoma City Bombing is an example of a progressive collapse.

Not only that, but chemical weapons were all the rage at the time. Suicide bombings have always been a lurking threat, and don't require infiltrating the pilot industry. I presume there were dozens of memos that proceeded exactly the same way, all equally plausible, but this one in particular came true.

Do you have any idea how many planes and brown people there are in this country? I'm really not trying to be a smartass, but you and the demolition theory guy are kinda going off the rails here.
