What's your favorite Northern state?

Not counting the Northwest

I'd say mine is Pennsylvania

Many schools shut down on first day of hunting season
Cheesesteaks are the tits
Has some Beautiful mountain country

I have to agree...of those that I have visited, I like pennsylvania the most...

damn good food, friendly folks, great for sportsmen, etc....

Maryland, it wanted to be southern not neutral but everyone who could vote on it got thrown in jail before they could make it happen.

Oh and their state flag is bad arse.

Michigan is the most beautiful, imo.


Illinois has a lot of small town USA type places that are the last bastions of what America used to be - which is neat.

But, Connecticut would get the nod from me, I think. It's a very nice state with money, history, jobs, close to NYC, a beach, and plenty of scenery.

Can't get much more on the line than when the northern border of the state is the Mason-Dixon Line

I agree. Some of the biggest deer in the country although they have tough regulations. Scrapple.

But dear god cross the border and go to a ball game in Morgantown and you might as well just load the pistol.

Pennsylvania. West Virginia ( at least Morgantown) blows. fricking hostile.
