George T. Stagg

Sipping whiskey only! Very complex flavors and extremely smooth for 140 proof.

Maker's Mark, I used to drink Jack exclusively, but that Black Label Jim Bean is good. Gentlemen's Jack is smooth.

broke, do whatever you want. but if you don't drink often, a bottle of george dickel 12 is what i'd get. but ultimately it comes down to whatever tastes best to you.

Dickel is a whisky (no e). it's also technically a bourbon. as we all should know, tennessee whiskey can be a bourbon, but not many bourbons can be tennessee whiskey.

-- as long as everyone wants to display their bourbon swagger.

Can't believe I just read through this whole shiteshow...

Broke, 1 suggestion...at your local Costco, there may be a bottle of Booker's 25th Anniversary. Think it sells for $85 or so at Costco.

Extremely high proof bourbon, so you will want to cut it slightly with a cube or splash of water.

If you really want to mix with sprite, I'd just go for some Charter.

Gotta say I've never seen a bigger pissing contest over something that's supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing.

I was at costco and saw some nice whiskey and scotchs while I was there. I wanted to try Woodford Reserve or Makers Mark

If you are going to mix it, I wouldn't recommend going above Maker's Mark quality.

If you are going to drink it straight, I would start off with Blanton's. It is really smooth and is a great way to ease into bourbon.

If you are thinking about trying a scotch, a couple of my favorites are Balvenie 12, Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask, Dalmore 12/15, or Macallan 12/18/CS.

Also, drop a few ice cubes in there if you want. The world won't stop spinning and no sane person will judge you for it. Just give them a try neat beforehand.

Find some W.L. Weller 12 year old. Very nice, smooth, drinkable wheated bourbon made by Buffalo Trace. Four Roses yellow label is a smooth lower shelf pour but only 80 proof. The Weller 12 is a 90 proof pour.
