In a very deep WR draft, was it worth the price?
I have mixed feelings because we obviously don't have inside info on how the staff feels about the existing roster and the spots they feel they need to address. Maybe there really aren't that many spots available and losing the pick was no big deal.

Just want a yes or no. Was it worth it?

the action done has made the obvious. like i said yesterday, depth of good doesn't mean you don't go after cream of the crop

Yes, the saints wanted Beckham or Cooks with the pick.

-There are a lot of good WR's in this draft.
-Saints consider Cooks to be elite
-You don't pass up Elite just so you can get someone good

Yes. I'm surprised he fell to 20. The 1st round couldn't have worked out any better for us.

Yes.

Been repeating "we need explosive playmakers in the backfield and at WR" ad nauseam so one down one to go!

And and I'm happy we did it considering who was left at our original pick.

The move was fine, I didnt think the Saints gave up too much. I see why they did it to block Philly from picking him but I still dont like the pick itself.

IMO, I would have only taken Watkins over Cooks if I had the entire WR pool available to us.

Cooks appears to be the perfect fit.

All great reasons why it was well worth it.

Yes. We swapped places in the 1st and didn't lose our second rounder. YES now please. Relax.

According to the Draft Value Chart, it was a tremendous move for us.

Very deep doesn't mean there were 9-10 receivers all rated the same. It was clear there was Watkins, Evans, OBJ, and Cooks...then everyone else. Lee was overrated a bit and Benjamin snuck into the back end due to his size. So us going after a playmaker we desperatley needed on an offense devoid of playmakers was a must.

Need to wait and see.

He certainly appears to be just what our offense needs, so if he lives up to his potential it was definitely worth it.
