How many of the NBA's top 10 players of all-time played for more than 1 team?
Kareem
Wilt
Oscar
Julius Erving (kind of, 2 ABA teams, 1 NBA team)
Shaq
Just to name a few

Sounds like he's taking the success and failure of his team on his own back.
I don't see what the problem here is.
unless lebron says, "i'm not really good at basketball and [insert player] is better than me without a doubt...oh and i didn't deserve any of my titles", people will twist it into some shite

Durant is really outclassing him in the playoffs. The Lebron hate is uncalled for, everyone in the nba whines these days. When Tim Duncan gets a call he doesn't agree with he runs up to the ref with that big eye look and pleads his case and he's looked at as the greatest power forward to play the game. Don't get me started on Kobe, Dirk, or CP3. Lebron's comments aren't bad it's not like he came out dogging KD saying he doesn't deserve the MVP.

Working off of the FoxSports Top 10 list...
Shaq: 3 teams
Robertson: 2 teams
Chamberlain: 2 teams
Kareem: 2 teams
Are you going to shite on those players for hopping around from team to team and being unwilling to have a team built around them?
ETA: Some future advice, it helps to know the answer to a question before you ask it. Otherwise, you run the risk of looking like an idiot.

I love when people reference Lebron moving teams as a negative thing they conveniently forget that Bird and Magic were drafted by the leagues two historically best franchises, with future hall of famers already on the team. Jordan was drafted by the third biggest media market in the country, and had another top 30 player all time drafted the season after him. Duncan was drafted by a team with a sure fire hall of famer in Robinson, and the best coach and front office of all time.
Lebron on the other hand, was drafted by one of the most historically inept franchises in the league, in a terrible market, with Mike brown as his coach, and his two best teammates were Ilgauskas and Larry Hughes.

He's advocating for players to spend their entire career with whichever team drafts them, no matter how much (or little) talent the execs put around them.
That's some great advice right there.

If LBJ would have stayed in Cleveland many of very good players would have gone to the Cavs to join forces with him, he was more interested in created fanfare for himself than remaining loyal.
I think he would have the same amount the rings as he does today had he stayed in Cleveland.

quote:Loyal to what exactly? To the team that "took a chance on him"? Appears to me that he was more interested in winning championships.
he was more interested in created fanfare for himself than remaining loyal.
You are pathetic.
ETA: I want you to continue on with your "hopping from team to team" and "unwilling to let a team be built around him" argument and that the top 10 players who have the respect of the old-timers would never do such a thing.

Loyalty obviously means nothing to you, so I can totally understand why you support a media whore like LBJ. You probably think he's going to go to LA and carry on the legacy of Laker greats too, right?

Who should he feel loyalty towards? The team that drafts him? Are you advocating that players should never leave the team that drafts them, because of loyalty?
This is hilarious.
This is hilarious.

Oh this would be spun into the "SEE I TOLD YOu! Just no true competitive spirit. MJ is certainly the GOAT. Refused to lose!!1!!1!"

At least try to put some effort in your posts.
quote:When Lebron wins it's because he has good teammates. When he loses, it's all his fault. Gee, that was easy.
When LBJ wins it's because he is the king. When he loses it's because his team's performance wasn't up to par
quote:The Heat are built around him. That was also easy.
because he knows he can't stay in one place and have a team built around him.
quote:So players should NOT try to put themselves in the best position to win titles, is that your stance?
If he had a pair of nuts he would have never left Cleveland so he could have solidified his legacy as one of the greatest of all-time by winning rings with one franchise
quote:The stuff you just posted above, I hope you don't lump yourself into the "real" basketball fan category. The "real" basketball fan would watch and appreciate his greatness and know, barring injury, he'll retire right up there with the top 2 or 3 GOATs.
It's easy to see why he is unlikable by so many real basketball fans...

Give him some time to check whether or not the players he has in mind have changed teams before.
