As fricknuts crazy as the NRA can be
I fail to see how a group who's sole purpose is to protect the 2A can be crazy. What is crazy is the fact we need a group to protect Constitutionally protected unalienable rights.

They taught in my CCL class that if you are involved in a situation like this and are completely in the right you may still get sued in this culture we have now days. It will cost tens of thousands of dollars to defend yourself even though you saved yours or others lives.
There is an insurance policy that Ccl carriers can purchase to cover law suits.
Ins comparisons.

I guarentee you his parents didn't and don't really give a damn about him. All they are trying to do is profit off of their sons death. If they were respectable human beings tey would see that what their son did was terrible and his decision was met with an equal consequence. The fact that they can't see that, tells me they have no moral compass to begin with an this is all about getting paid.

Lets hope that lady doesn't speak for the rest of the family. It's pretty disgusting how the media finds family members of dead people and puts a microphone in their face essentially asking if they deserved to die. Who the frick would say flat out "yeah he deserved it"?

one of my friends started a firm that defends gun cases like this.
IIIRC, it's like a club with a monthly fee that you pay and if you get sued, they defend you

Well, obviously the family is biased.
Do y'all expect them to come out and say "yea, he was a real POS, good riddance"?

Wouldn't 'Stand Your Ground' prevent civil cases in most circumstances?

I would expect them to keep tgeir fricking mouth shut and grieve for their son in private.

Would Obama say that the armed robber was "acting stupidly"? Would Obama say that if he had a son he would hope that he acted like the hero customer?
He could have been Obama's son!

Dante is no longer and problem to anyone on this earth. There is not even a question that this is a good shooting. As far as the reaction from his family; it is exactly what I would expect.

that will vary from state to state. i don't even know LA's law, but i believe the one in Florida does offers civil immunity
*ETA: you'd still have to pay a lawyer to file for the hearing date and win the hearing, though

Harrison is a hero! Great bravery. He should be recognized by our president for his good deed protecting innocent citizens

They really should.

We will never have an honest discussion about race in this country with attitudes like this.

Justin Harrison
Thank you Mr. Harrison, through your heroic actions:
You made the public safer
You saved the tax payers tens of thousand
You taught two important lessons on why CC is so important and what consequences armed robbery may carry.
You may have saved the lives of yourself, other patrons, the WH workers, as well as future victims.
You should have an award named after you similar to the George Zimmerman
