Interesting story....
I took EIT in fall of 96. Same day as game vs. miss st. which was 11:30 game. Took the first half of test, tailgated for a bit, watched most of first half in pouring rain, then returned for second half of test drenched.
Passed without any issues and never needed it unfortunately. Started in oilfield for a year then manufacturing around the country since then. No use for it in this industry, and is actually less regarded in some places due to inferred lack of "common sense" engineering.
Congrats if you pass though..

Are you still going to be posting dancing bananas every time someone mentions engineering after you get your diploma?

I took the EIT damn near 15 years ago....never took the PE though, as I never saw where it would further my career...

Passed it but it was revoked because my curriculum at LSU was not approved by whoever approves such things. (Curriculum was EE w/ Computer option) So frick 'em.

Got my PE 5yrs ago. Took that mofo on 0hrs of sleep (anxiety) and destroyed it. Even memorized 48/50 of the AM questions. /brag off.

I'm not an engineer, but I work in a building with a large engineering firm. They get to wear jeans every day and that makes me jealous.
That is all.
That is all.

Is there a time limit on how long to take the PE test after the EIT?

I got my degree in accounting and work at a public accounting firm. Everyone I work with wishes they would have went into engineering, including myself. I'm jealous of yall.

really?...if the EE curriculum was approved, how the hell does the computer option disqualify it?...
this kind of bullshite is honestly why I never went farther and took the PE exam....

No, you just have to have a minimum of 4yrs of qualified experience working under the supervision of a licensed engineer. There is no upper limit.

Don't need it. Don't plan on taking it.
If my situation changes, I may look into it.

What's required? If that's the case I probably won't be able to take it. I didn't do undergrad in engineering, and did a thesis based MS in it...so coursework wasn't the main focus.
