I actually like that LSU plays in the big games. Even though we lost at Georgia last year, that was a hell of a game and a reason to get pumped. Florida will always be a tough game, but LSU is no cakewalk for them either. Strength of schedule will be more important also, and SEC teams show year in and year out lately that you can lose a game (even at home) and still win a national title.

I hope LSU will always be a member of the SEC. Why would we want to leave the greatest conference in the nation.

LSU needs the SEC more than the SEC needs LSU. We are not bigger than the conference. The same could be said for every school.

Yes. Let's give up the most lucrative television deals and brightest spotlight because Alabama gets a slight scheduling preference . It would be much better for LSU in the Big 12 where one school doesn't dominate the conference. Maybe we could even get our own half hour time slot on The Longhorn Network.

Define "fair"? My father taught me there is no such thing as fair, and not just in love and war. As an adult I now know he's right.

In the case of the 6-1-1 vs 6-2 schedule format LSU's best interest just doesn't happen to align with what's in the best interest of 10 other schools. So be it.
However, bet your arse if the current Tenn was up to par of say the '98 Tenn squad, we'd have Gump coaches and admin on Alleva's side.
