I mistyped that now that I think of it.
No you didn't, you typed that statement for effect. You wanted it to look worse than it actually is.

Looks like you UNDER-estimated the intelligence level on here. Or is that really what you meant to type?
Why don't you go ahead and follow up all of your posts with what you really meant to say so that we may withhold comments until you're sure of what you're saying, k?

If his premium and deductible went up...he is paying more (premiums) and getting less( difference in the deductible).
Not rocket surgery.
Not rocket surgery.

Are you really making this about semantics? Your deflection is noted.
It's not semantics, I'm calling you out on your intentional hyperbole. You misrepresented what happened in an effort to make it look worse than it is.

Do you have anything else to add?
Yeah, poor you, you're fricked. Maybe in a couple of years you can apply for Medicaid.

Rocket surgery? No.
Mental gymnastics? Yes.
It's obvious he was exaggerating his position. I simply called him on it and now it seems people feel sorry for him so they defend his hyperbole.

Hey, I just found out my coverage has been expanded, so now I'm getting MORE for LESS!!!1!*
*Okay, so I may never need post menopausal care, but I'm getting more for less, right?

Congrats

I actually think the opposite is true. It looks like he stated his position accurately.

My statement of "So everyone in the company pays more for less!" is not hyperbole.
Hyperbole is "WildTchoupitoulas has been told a million times he's a fricking moron, but he still hasn't accepted this".
Million times = hyperbole. It's probably more in the 750 range. But I digress.
Everyone paying MORE for LESS is not a hyperbole when the statement is in fact true.
I pay 30% MORE for the "similar" coverage (prescriptions, appointments, etc) but get LESS COVERAGE of my out of pocket expenses. So instead of paying the first $1000, I now pay the first $3000.
I pay more but get less coverage for my out of pocket expenses.
Does that make sense to you now? Or do I need to make it 751?

You can only explain it. You can't understand it for him.

I'll admit, you normally handle yourself pretty well in these arguments, but you're getting your arse handed to you here.

Nah dude. Medicaid is for Obama supporters.

He chose to focus on "hyperbole" instead of the real issue.
Par for the course I suppose.

quote:Your old plan was inadequate. Luckily your new plan covers maternity services AND prostate exams!!
So that was fun. 30% increase in premiums, double the out of pocket expenses.
Oh... And don't forget those lifetime limits!!
Now, since your employers is saving 3000% on his healthcare costs... March right into his office, and demand that raise Obama promised!! Remind him that you are no longer "job locked" and he "didn't build that" (the company).
Let us know how it turns out for you!

You know the funny this is I was just about to get a catastrophic plan to cover hospital visits and pay as I go for Dr's visits, etc.
My wife and I talked and probably would have saved a good 3-4k a year doing that (unless we needed a bunch of expensive tests and could not negotiate the price).
But now that option is good. That's too bad.

Nice. Typical of the middle-finger given to the rest of us by supporters of this colossal shite sandwich.
