NBA Commissioner Silver calls ads on jerseys "inevitable"

New NBA Commissioner Adam Silver all but confirmed those sentiments during a presentation this week at the 2014 IMG World Congress of Sports, terming advertisements on players' game jerseys "an idea whose time has come,"
Thoughts? I heard him say on the radio that the league needs to look at new advertising revenue sources because of DVR. Honestly, how many people watch NBA games on DVR? Just call it what it is, "I'm trying to get my owners paid!"

I watch a decent amount of Pels games on DVR and anytime there's an big matchup on I'll DVR it. But how many people actually do this? I imagine it's pretty low, most people seem to just tune in at the playoffs like they do for March madness.

Everything the league does is a money grab scheme, so why wouldn't they do this?

Still surprised that the national team jerseys aren't sponsored.
Can't wait to see AD kissing that tiny Pels badge and poppin that big Smoothie King on the front.
