25 Muslim taxi drivers refuse to drive cabs displaying "Gay Games" ads

Radical Islam works, folks.

Imagine if a christian, jew, hindu, mormon or atheist did this for whatever reason? But because those in question are muslims, nobody is going to say one goddamn word about it.
It just really rubs me wrong that we have allowed violence to control our reactions. The next time someone tells you the terrorists havent won, please correct them.

Roughly 25 Muslim drivers dispatched to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are refusing to drive cabs adorned with advertising for the region’s upcoming Gay Games, citing religious reasons.

It goes deeper than that. My understanding is that 9/11 was designed to not only kill American citizens, but to destroy us financially. We've done a pretty good job of destroying ourselves financially from within, however, this "war on terror" has severely crippled us. And what is sad about all of this, we worry too much about tolerance. We have lost our way because we no longer have collective convictions. Yes, the terrorists have won unfortunately.

Bull. The terrorists haven't won.

This will be an interesting case study, on the heels of the Mozilla CEO debacle. Let's see how the Left, especially the gay rights movement, responds to this.

Of all the groups that have become politically correct, the fact that Muslims are now considered PC is the biggest head scratcher to me. I guess part of it is because they're"brown", but the main reason has to be the anti-Christian bigotry of many on the Left.
Something is wrong when a Republican Presidential candidate can be accused of waging a war on women, but those same people, including most feminists, won't say a word about a religious group who kill women, put women to death after falsely accusing them of adultery, shoot girls for going to school, and even relatively "peaceful" types of discrimination like refusing to let them drive a car in certain countries.
I mean, not a word about that. It's some of the phoniest bullshite you'll ever see.

I'm all for gay rights, and this really isnt about the left or gays but society in general. We give muslims free reign to do and say as they wish for the most part, free from the rebuke that befalls everyone else.
There will come a day when we will either stand up to it or watch our way of life disappear. They are already treading dangerously close in parts of Europe.

This comment sounds ignorant as frick considering your linking an article on fox news. A quick Google search reveals this article is all over the internet(particularly the conservative websites) and the local Cleveland news. Fox News was a little slow on this story.
If it were Christians, I doubt they would be getting attacked by the conservative blog sphere. I bet they would even be championed by them.

So I want to see the LEFT rise up to confront this horror, with gays leading the charge.

If taxi drivers of another religion did it, Fox wouldn't report it or probably would have only reported the liberal backlash against it.
Just goes both ways.

Brain dead phrase that very few will examine critically.

I don't see the problem here. The cab drivers have a right to refuse to drive. The cab company has a right to relieve the cab drivers of their duties if they choose to do so.

Dude - did you read your own link?
quote:
Two of the three companies operating at Ohio's largest airport were informed by the drivers — one-third of the airport’s total fleet — last week that they will no longer participate in the airport’s dedicated taxicab program.
Looks like they withdrew from participating in the market where regulation would have required them to display the ad.
So you're full of shite. If this had been a Christian - they wouldn't have withdrawn from driving airport cabs - they would have insisted its their right to do whatever the frick they want wherever they want regardless of the law so long as God gives them the A-Ok.
If you can point to a law that has been broken - let us know. But I'm pretty sure not participating in a particular avenue of commerce when regulations would have compelled you to act a way you refuse to act isn't a crime.

So let me get this straight.
You're trying to hold me accountable - not for my actual actions or words - but for the hypothetical actions and words that you insist I would pursue given a particular hypothetical?
Do I have that right?
Isn't it past your bedtime?
