I haven't had any problems with my 55'' Vizio. Had it since Christmas

ETA: From what I see the Samsung is 3D, but isn't a smart TV like the Vizio.. So really depends what you wanted to use it for

Haven't swayed from Vizio since my first purchase. Have had a 32", 42", and 55". All great TVs.

Have Samsung LED in living room and Vizio LED in bedroom. While the Vizio is a great TV, it's nothing in comparison to the Samsung.

The 2012/13 Vizio E series was horrid. I literally replaced 30 in about 20 days. That was just my crew, we had 5 crews going out everyday in the Birmingham area. Their screens blacked out after about a month. They have fixed them, but Samsung has never had a major problem like that.

I only own Samsungs, and I've been very impressed and happy with 2 out of the 3 I own. The only one I'm meh on is the LED one. I have an LCD, LED and a plasma. The plasma is by far the best performing one, but it suffers in bright light.

Samsung makes the best TVs

Only other brand I'd consider is LG

I just ordered a 55" Vizio from Sam's for $600 for my back patio. I am a Samsung man through and through but I couldn't pass up the deal on that Vizio. Plus its for the back patio anyways.

Samsung out of those two. Like someone said earlier the E series Vizios don't have a good rep. However, the M Series was rated by CNET to be just as good as Samsung and the price makes it a clear favorite. I just bought a 60 and 70 inch M Series for my house. Love the 70 so far. Haven't hooked up the 60 yet.
