He has stated his interest in buying the Buffalo Bills, and now he is reiterating his said interest in buying the team.

More interestingly, per the Buffalo News, Trump says he wants to keep the team in Buffalo. Or so he says.

quote:

“I’m going to give it a heavy shot,” Trump told The News on Monday from his office in Manhattan. “I would love to do it, and if I can do it, I’m keeping it in Buffalo.”

quote:

Most people believe that Trump would buy the team so as to move it to Los Angeles, or perhaps sister Bills city Toronto. But he's trying to quash that notion for now with the idea that it could hurt his chances to purchase the team if public sentiment as any seat at this table.

quote:

Trump uses sound logic: He curries favor with the locals by explaining the team's rich tradition and the local ties to the team. But then he can't help but return to personal interest on the matter.

“I live in New York, and it’s easier for me to go to Buffalo than any other place,” Trump said. “Where am I going to move it, some place on the other side of the country, where I have to travel for five hours?”

The same way MLB owners didn't want Mark Cuban.

Even more so than that. MLB owners didn't want Cuban cause he was too "radical" and didn't like the type of pub he'd bring.

The trangressions that Trump made against the NFL when he owned a USFL team left some majorly burned bridges with the old NFL guard (some of which still own teams or are still big-time players behind the scenes).

As a Spurs fan, you should be empathetic towards the Bills. Thus, you should not want Trump to buy the team. There is no way The Donald will not move the team to the biggest, richest market he can.

Serious question: Does Trump have the money to buy an NFL team? It's well known he's not as rich as he likes to say he is.
I can't imagine the NFL owners wanting him in their club.

Meh. That gets blown out of proportion. There are only six NBA cities with bigger population markets than San Antonio.

Staying in Buffalo. Whoever decides to move a team to LA is gonna rake in a ton of cash off of it. Take a team like the Bills, Rams or Jags (among the leagues least valuable teams) and put them in a shiny new LA stadium with that market and the increase in value would be crazy. Imagine how often an LA time would take prime time games and the amount of apparel the bandwagoners would grab up. Cash cow/media darling waiting to happen.

Rams can leave STL after this year unless they reach an agreement to make their stadium one of the best in the league or build a new one. The sides aren't even talking right now and the owner just bought 20 acres of land in LA. They gone. Bills to London
