No, I've resorted to not answering your question.

If I couldn't answer the question without looking like a hypocrite and liar, I wouldn't answer that question either.

Now, I wouldn't pretend that I'm protesting someone being "a jerk". But, that's just me.

Central was a long-established community that already had the tenets of being a town but without the legal standing.

SG does not fit that description. Not even close.

Why is this important?

Because I don't want towns popping up willy-nilly wherever three voters decide to get together and incorporate.

The town should come first, then the incorporation. This St. George effort is bass-ackwards. The focus should be on schools. This is following the rabbit down the hole because some legislators used it as an excuse to stop the creation of a breakaway school district. It's a massive distraction and it needs to die.

Why don't you want that?

Also, obviously, this isn't a 'three voter' scenario. This is a major population group that theoretically would be voting to incorporate.

I think the biggest St. George supporters would tell you that this is about the schools. Of course, the same people who opposed the independent school district are opposing the incorporation.

If you carefully read the la. Constitution it clearly states that areas that have "tenets of being a town" should be eligible to incorporate if enough voters of that "town" sign a petition and a majority of the voters vote to incorporate.

On the other hand, if an area does not have "tenets of being a town" then those citizens after petitioning for a vote to incorporate must in fact a let the other voters in the parish vote on the matter with them and only then if a majority of the voters agree then they can incorporate.

All of the above is null and void if the legislature and the governor decide at any time to place a moratorium on elections to incorporate.

Nevers says he's willing to amend his bill to allow St. George vote during moratorium. I wonder what his end game is...

Yea, only if certain criteria is met. LOL

What is his angle anyway?

Russian told us today SG wouldn't be affected by the Nevers bill. Now Nevers is trying to cut SG a deal so they won't be affected.

Russian said either Nevers or Rainey was a liar. I guess the liar is Nevers.

The best part of this thread is Rex saying he's a resident of St George. I guess he's filling the Afreaux role with that guy gone from TD. Afreaux would pop up in every thread claiming to have worked, lived, had friends at every place ever discussed to make his opinion seem more educated on the subject.

You're a worthless, POS liar.

I said NEVERS claimed his bill would not impact SG, a-hole.

Nevers was quoted in the paper saying his bill would not impact the SG effort.

I wonder if the St. George area didn't have high income level by its residents and provide so many tax dollars would anyone care if they wanted to form their own city? I really don't get it. Why should BR people care if they chose to leave BR? Last time I looked this was still the USA.

So you never leave your parish to shop or travel and enjoy other infrastructures? If so how does it feel to be greedy. Hope you never go to lsu away games or saints games you greedy bastard.

Such a dumb arse argument.

Per Russian "In any case, Nevers was quoted in the paper saying his bill would not impact the SG effort. Lionel Rainey says it does. One of them is lying. "

Per Double B " I guess it's Nevers"

Now who is lying. You accused Nevers or Rainey.

You tell us oh wise one, which one is it. I bet it's neither one , you just like to make chit up and call people names.

You can't present facts, you just bring bullchit wrapped in fancy words .

Does 9-2+2=11 still????
