I'm an Ole Miss homer, but as some of you know I follow LSU baseball pretty closely too. I don't think the thursday night is a given for LSU. OM will not whiff that many times, we will make contact with Nola and force LSU to field it. Prob not many hits, but we will make contact.

Mainieri's recent history in past Thursday games seems to suggest that Nola may not pitch Thursday, and go on his normal rest. If I had to guess, Glenn gets the start Thursday, with Nola and Poche going Fri. and Sat.

I see the #2 pitcher at Ole Miss, Christian Trent was at LSU or signed with LSU out of HS. What happened there?

was on the team two years ago, IIRC. rumor had it he was booted for missing some practices or something.

Dude needs 7 days rest, not 6? I've never heard of a pitcher needing that kinda rest. What's gonna happen in July when he is in AA?

Mainieri said the Thursday-Friday-Saturday Ole Miss series won't affect the rotation. Nola on Thurs, Poche' on Fri. #LSU

Let's hope this is the case - all the Ks for Nola only drive up his pitch count. Maybe a complete game for Nola.
