The stands are look empty. Attendance numbers are 5000-7000 a game. What is wrong LSU
Sounds like you were watching on TV yet you're posting wondering where the fans are. If you didn't go, don't get upset and/or question why the stands aren't full.

He was watching the replay on ESPNU this morning...

Which LSUAD takes notice of, because concessions revenue takes a hit.

Not sure how much concession take there is. They don't pay the workers, just give them a cut. It's good for organizations or schools looking for a "fundraiser" type thing. Work 3 hours. Make $700

I attended my first games at the new Box last weekend. Friday night, I was in a suite, and Saturday I was on the second row behind the plate. Both nights were awesome experiences.
I am a lifelong baseball fan that loves dominant pitching. But college baseball is not about dominant pitching, it is about average throwers just throwing pitches down the middle of the plate without fear of getting punished by making mistakes. I could count on one hand the number of balls that left the infield in the games that I saw, much less left the park.
For the same reason that soccer is still not a mainstream sport in America, college baseball is the same....it is boring. When a team is bunting in the second inning after a lead off walk, something is wrong with the game. I have never seen so many soft line outs to infielders in my life.
Today's college baseball looks more like high school baseball than it does the major league, or even minor league, versions.

Stopped reading here. If you think Nola is a average college thrower, you are a retard.

How they hell did you come to that conclusion?

LSU baseball has to compete against a lot.

Dont worry. Our fanbase will come up with a reason. We are full of excuses.

It seems that many fans would prefer to sit at home and post in the play-by-play thread on the Rant rather than actually attend the game.

There's an assload of things to do in South Louisiana in the spring. It's the classic excuse given by USC and Miami fans about their shitty bandwagon attendance for sports. But it's very true. If you aren't going to be basically the best team and give the best show, there are an abundance of other options available. FQF and SF are massive festivals that destroy a college baseball game in terms of excitement.
