Protestors starting to arrive now.

LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas/AP) — Militia groups are rallying behind a rancher whose cattle are being seized by the federal government.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that two militia members from Montana and one from Utah have arrived at Cliven Bundy’s ranch.

“We need to be the barrier between the oppressed and the tyrants,” Ryan Payne of the West Mountain Rangers told the Review-Journal. “Expect to see a band of soldiers.”

Payne said that militias from New Hampshire, Texas and Florida are likely to join and stand with Bundy and stay at his ranch.

“They all tell me they are in the process of mobilizing as we speak,” Payne told the Review-Journal, adding that hundreds of militia members are expected.

This should be the article's lede.

I can sympathize with their stance but I hate when people pick fights with someone and then, when they get tossed, they scream, "I've got cancer!" Don't start no shite, won't be no shite.

If multiple militias show up, this could become explosive.

Oh thank God. The voices of reason.

Sweet. Obama's going to get his very own Waco.

Perfect description of the Obama administration.

Oh, but it's all about equality and good will toward men.

The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of Patriots and Tyrants

Since they are a militia, they have a right to bear arms, correct?

Honestly, I wish the Feds would put this much effort and resources into defending the southern border as they're doing with this ranch.

This is not rocket science. Bundy knew what the law is. He has been repeatedly told what the law is in clear and unequivocal terms. He has repeatedly refused to follow the law. America has this terrific thing called the "rule of law," and Bundy thinks he is above the law.

It’s not his property. It was never his property. The courts have told him repeatedly what his property rights are and what they are not. This is not an open issue. Bundy thinks he can use property that belongs to someone else without paying the owner the requisite fees.

frick him. He's an ignorant TPOS who repeatedly and knowingly violates the law.

Bundy continues to violate the law and has showed no interest in complying with the law despite numerous court orders over many years. Bundy has threatened to "do whatever it takes" to protect his property and has characterized the dispute as a "range war."

All right, Bundy . . . you called down the thunder. Well now you've got it!

I don't feel I am educated enough in the specifics of this situation to formulate an opinion.

I can see both sides. Threatening violence is almost always wrong, but I can't decide if its justified (by either side). Hope it can be resolved peacefully.
