After watching the vid, Jennings didn't look that bad. The floater down the sideline was a great pass. I disagree with Harris starting out bad. The first two should've been caught. The third he was hit as he threw. The ball just jumps out of his hand, very reminiscent of Jamarcus.

It's definitely a competition, which is always best for all involved.

It was hard to tell a lot from those clips. Wish I lived closer to BR so I could have made it to the scrimmage.

I would lie to step in for a sec and thank ole Jennings for his performance against Arkansas. He saved last year from being a complete disaster with that infamous drive. I hope Harris and Jennings continueto push each other.

And zero picks? Who gives a damn if he's 6 for 20, if 4 of the 6 are TDs and he doesn't throw an interception I'm all for it

ETA: I know those weren't his real numbers but I'm making a point haha

I keep look past the highlights to how empty the stands are without the seats and benches.

I bet Tiger Stadium's seating capacity, minus the upper decks, is about 20K. The north end zone and east lower bowl have no seats or benches atm.

Relax, bud he's 17. I was one of his coaches in high school and he knows going through progressions and footwork is his areas of weakness. His skill set is way ahead of most incoming freshman QBs though.

he has some of the same weaknesses as Jennings, only he is far far more athletic and throws a better ball. I'll take my chances with him.

Completion percentage was terrible. Could it be because that he is only looking at one receiver the entire video clip?

I kid, I kid, he is only 18yo, but he can't lock in on one receiver from the beginning of every play or he wont start and we will be stuck with JJ 2.0 (a/k/a/ AJ) He must learn the progression aspect of the throwing game. Time will tell. I hoping he can handle it.

He absolutely does need to work on going through his progressions.....he did just chunk it at times but often left the ball where our guy caught it or no one did. He will certainly get better and again.....no turnovers which is often an overlooked stat.

I just watched the Spring Game film and the Rant gave quite the misleading opinion on both QBs in my mind.

Very little distinguish them. Neither looked great - errant throws all over the place. Harris could have definitely had a pick on two (double coverage in the back of the end zone). You have to like BH's athleticism.

For LSU to win 10 games: LF will have to be a freak show along with a dominant OL, the defense will need to be terrific and we will have to play well rounded special teams. I don't see any way we throw the ball this year well.

Guys who impressed me:
D. Hunter - freak. Break out year time.
Feist - dude looked like an all-american. He was in on every play
Debo Jones - love his size and athleticism
Ed Paris - great size and skills for a true freshman. He could be special.
T. Dural - has an extra gear and a little bit of wiggle to make him special.
Desean Smith - Best looking LSU tight end since...Dickson? He should be one of our leading receivers next year.

Overall, our LBs and secondary should be very good and we are deep on the OL.

We have got to stop running deep routes with Diarse - the guy doesn't have the speed to separate. Instead, keep it intermediate and lets use the wide frame to be a possession WR.

I support both quarterbacks and no matter who is the starter, I'll support them. But I don't understand why people are getting bashed for thinking Harris is the better QB, yes both have major work to do, but what does Jennings do that is so much better than Harris? I do think we will be more explosive with Harris. IDC who the quarterback is, both will make mistakes, both will turn it over. Its part of the game, but just off of performance this Spring, I'm liking Harris better right now. If Jennings seperates himself in the fall. I'll still be happy. I just want to best player to start, and I have no doubt with CC at the helm, he will do that

We all knew that Harris had the stronger arm and better legs.

However, it was believed that Jennings was better at leading the offense and taking care of the football. The former may still be true, but the latter doesn't appear to be. For Jennings to start and keep starting, he'll have to be an epic Game Manager to force the coaches to keep Harris' talent on the sidelines.

After watching some interviews of BH, AJ, and LF, i'm very excited about the type of guys leading this team the next few years. They all seem like exceptional young men.

Really liked what I saw in Paris. He looked really good outside the muffed punt.

Dural just looks like a number one WR. This is what we needed to see. Dude had no easy passes too as most passes were off the mark. IMO in Jennings and Harris you have a better QB situation than we had in 2008, 2010 and 2011. Dural could match the top receiving threats say about 900 yards 8-10 TDs. I think we have a legit All SEC WR.

Smith has some nice hands. I could see him with over 500 yards 5+ TDs this year because Cam will really work the TEs in and he is already the second best pass catcher we have.

Agreed. I actually believed that he would be good enough to be the #2 but maybe not. If he can't get right in the fall, Quinn or Dupre should take his #2 spot. to be honest, I'd rather Quinn learn enough to be the #2 Dupre be Dural's backup. Diarse should start in the slot and hopefully Spears is healthy enough to back up Quinn because I love his skill set at 6'3 190 with 4.55 speed. Bolden is also a guy I hope develops some decent hands.
