that said, what happened to Eich doesn't mean that the situation is any better IMV. it shows that the pendulum may have swung too far too fast in the other direction, at least in this industry

Do you work in tech? tech is strange beast. its a workplace that is pseudo libertarian, and its unique in that overall unemployment rate is very low, low single digits.
I would prefer a world where we celebrate diversity, like really celebrate it. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

frankly I don't see any inherent advantage to "diversity" outside of diversity of thought and experience. A business is much better off with the best team possible, regardless of what the staff looks like, who they sleep with, what god(s) they believe in or don't believe in, etc.

Personally, I would rather one where people are simply judged on their merits and possibly some consideration as to how they interact with others, without having to live in fear of potential thought police gotchas around every corner.

I would agree the diversity that is best is thought and experience, but generally if you look or are different, your experience and thought process will be different. Not always but its reasonable in my experience.

The second quote is spot on in spades. Those are what the likes of Toddys United seek while speaking BS about they only want the right to marriage. When they are turned away by an election of the people they immediately run to the court systems for redress. A decision of one or a group of up to ten judges make the law in black robes to be followed by all.

Why is bashing Mozilla for this claiming we are against market forces? They have every right to do it, but people have every right to protest their action.

I would say that repubs could boycott firefox but I have a feeling that most repubs are internet explorer users with AOL email addresses.
