With a stadium seat velcroed to my pirogue it wasn't bad.

You can stand on this yak I'm getting, one of the reasons I'm getting it.

Since I'll be fishing shallow marsh a lot with it I'll probably try to stand or kneel up and pole a lot if I can.

this is why the ability to stand is important for me

It all depends on the seat. I have a raised, adjustable seat and it makes all the difference in the world. I can also stand in my yak, which helps also. That being said, my old yak had a pretty terrible seat and I fished 8+ hours in it. I got a bit uncomfortable, but I was fishing so I didn't care.

That makes, or would make, a huge difference for me.

I have the fs128t, it's quite a big larger than the 12t. I can stand in it, but it's not super stable. I don't feel very comfortable doing it. I would be suspect to how stable the 12t is for standing.

For the record, I'm a bigger guy.

I have a raised seat and don't get uncomfortable at all. I can fish all day with no problems.

I'm a light guy and pretty limber. I don't expect it to be as stable as a cuda or KC or anything but I'm hoping I can stand and fish some in calm water. Kneel when I hook into something.

Hope you have better luck than me. I'm doing good to be able to stand up and take a leak without going overboard.

It's a nice looking boat though, I saw them at BPS the other day. Looks like a big improvement over the last model.

I'm a pretty big guy. I CAN stand in mine, but it does get a little tricky. Kneeling is easy, but hard at the same time because of the deck layout. If you plan to kneel in it a lot, better get some sort of cushioning, there's quite a few ribs right in front of the seat.

If you are not dead set on a Boga style grip, Hook1 sells "The Fish Grip" for $15. It is very durable, locks down and floats.

As far as getting tired sitting down, it doesnt bother me too much. I fish from a Commander 120, so I have the ability to stand and fish, but usually just fish sitting down.

I have those cheap grips from Academy. Work just fine.

As for standing up, I can't stand in mine. Well I guess I can, but it's not the sturdiest kayak. I just pull up to the land and walk around for a bit when I need to stand.

I'm not dead set on anything, I'll probably just get one of those while I'm making a big hook one order.

Bought a blue Ascend fs12t a few weeks ago from bass pro. Can't beat it for the money. I can easily stand and fish from it and I'm 6' 190lbs. Only thing I would say is buy a tube of silicone and run a bead around the front hatch. The people at bass pro said they are only getting a few in a week and they sell as soon as they come in so it might be best if you order online and ship directly to the store.

I've got a test 2 weeks from today so I'm probably gonna call next week to make sure one's in stock then go sometime that week after my test and get it. Amazon cart and hook1 cart filled with goodies ready to order too. I haz excite

you sound like me. I'm set on getting the FS12T and have a ton of stuff in my amazon cart. The only thing holding me back is that I've been trying to figure out the best way of transporting my yak. I have a car.

The crossbars that sit in the top of the doors maybe?

I have a f150, looked into getting a half ladder rack so I could easily fit 2 yaks and gear but don't feel like spending it, I'll just stack em and strap em down in the bed

You got a toolbox? If not you'll be fine with the 150. Mine is 14.5 and I have a toolbox, so it hangs way the hell out of the bed. I bought a $70 bed extender from Harbor Freight on Sherwood. Problem solved.
