iSheep. That’s the retort most readily used to attack owners of Apple kit. It is a wonderfully concise allegation: the thoughtless herd mentality Apple cynics attribute to those happy to spend small fortunes on Macs, MacBooks, iPhones and iPads. Well brace yourself for new forum flame wars because it might just be true.
As part of ongoing research into mobile phone purchasing decisions simonlycontracts.co.uk polled 2,275 iPhone owners and found a staggering 59% admitted “blind loyalty” to the handset. The definition was users who stated they would not even consider researching other handsets when upgrading in future. Asked why 78% said they “couldn’t imagine having a different type of phone now” while 52% said they were just “really impressed” with their iPhone.

It isn’t purely about Android either. There are now 24 countries where Windows Phone outsells the iPhone.

did anyone seriously think this wasn't true?
it's like PC and macs. you aren't really going to easily change from what you're used to.

Incoming onslaught of butthurt droid fanb0is

I'd say I'm in that boat with my iPhone, I like that I know how to use it, never have issues and can't see what the others have extra that I would actuall use. For my MBPro on the other hand, I don't care how much I over paid for it, I'll never (in the foreseeable future) own another shitty PC.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

i like overpriced and underpowered apple products, dwi poors

I am not quite In that boat but I am close. I love my apple products no doubt. I did shop around last year and almost pulled the trigger on a Samsung phone last year but I am still grandfathered in the unlimited data plan. The new data plan was significantly more expensive and that made me go with the iPhone 5s.

I had a droid incredible before switching over to my 4S and it was a no brainer, everything runs so much more smoothly without any kind of crashing.
Once I got an iPad and an iMac and had the entire Apple ecosystem going, there's no going back to anything else for me. That is, unless someone creates something just extraordinarily groundbreaking or awesome that I felt I couldn't do without.

Ironically, this phenomenon is starting to shift in the other direction.
Since it's now "cool" to hate Apple, many individuals myopically invest in an Android device simply because it's the popular sentiment.

I thought about switching up from the Iphone before I got my 5s, but i'm comfortable with IPhones. I have a Mac b/c they're basically idiot proof.
Most people find things they like and stick with those brands.

Thats literally the definition of a brand. Apple has the highest valued brand in the world. I hope this wasn't a surprise.

Scruffy plans on switching, but he was forced to buy all Mac products for school. Sucks because Scruffy hates Mac products.
Personally though, Scruffy doesn't really care what phone he has as long as he can surf the web, make phone calls, and text. Everything else isn't really important.

All Apple has to do to sell shite is come out with something named iPhone 6, put it in a different case, and have a few commercials. They don't have to go any further than that to have a billion in sales, and users will swear up and down that it is night and day faster than the 5

simonlycontracts.co.uk polled 2,275 iPhone owners
What scruff said above is Def true

I'll readily admit I've mostly just owned Iphones because I know how to use them and haven't been presented with a good reason to change. I'm not a tech-savy person though. My next phone might be different just for the hell of it though. I'll probably just get something cheaper. I could probably buy a phone for 1/3 the cost that does all the stuff I need from a phone. Same with computers. I've bought essentially the same crappy HP laptop 3 straight times. I haven't run into a situation where it doesn't do what I need it to so I just stick with it.

Droids are just disposable flavor of the month devices.
