HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -– Deputy constables with Pct. 4 are investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in a Harris County home overnight.
Constables said the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on Bridgestone Ridge near Bridgestone Path.
Investigators said a father woke up to find the male teen in his 16-year-old daughter's bedroom. A fight ensued, and the father fatally shot the teen.
No other injuries were reported, but the dad was later taken to the hospital after suffering a possible medical event.
Constables said the investigation was still underway early Thursday, and no charges have been filed in the case.

Looks like this guy gets the t-shirt reading "Dads Against Dating - Shoot the first one and word will spread."
Based on the facts of the case presented so far, he walks because he'd been lead to believe the boy was an intruder, the kid was not following commands to leave the house, and reached for something.
I'm unsure if the daughter gets charged with anything but she sure deserves a good chunk of the blame for inviting the kid in and then lying about it. She pretty much threw him under the bus as a burglar / potential rapist by doing so.
