For those wondering....the dad is black.

I assume the dude is also black otherwise Q10 would already be on the scene defending the father.

People keep saying the dad is at fault because the daughter invited him in. That doesn't mean jack shite if the daughter told her father she didn't know the guy. It really looks like the dad was under the impression that some strange dude was in his house, in his daughter's room. He'll go off free. He will be tried in Texas. There will be at least one juror that won't vote guilty...probably more.

Thankfully the dad wasn't white with the boy being black or we'd have freaking Trayvon all over again in Kingwood.

In this situation, I'd put my foot in the boys arse and kick him out the door, but I would have a MAJOR problem with my daughter for disrespecting my house and her moms. She would be the one in a world of fricking hurt.

How big was this bed ? And what was this girl's brother doing the whole time. He would be a credible witness.

Too many varibles here to determine how this case is going down.

See, now I hope the kid was white and knocked the girl up with his superior seed, and that the dad is forced to raise the kid in what will be a series of teachable moments intended for him to learn all about the wonders of white people. We really are pretty incredible.

Is the kid an intruder if he was invited in by the daughter?
To the father, he definitely could be thought of as an intruder. If he did not make his presence known to the owner of the property shouldn't the owner have the right to presume the person in his home without his knowledge is an intruder? It's not like this was normal visiting hours. It was 2:00AM, and the dead kid was trying to keep his presence undetected by the homeowner. Those are the actions of an intruder, not a guest.

If I hear unexpected noises in my home at 2:00AM I'm carrying a gun when I go investigate. And I'm not giving the noisemaker the benefit of the doubt.

This news story says the father was confined to a wheelchair and crawled to the room in question. I would think this would increase his self defense argument a good bit.

I could also see a civil lawsuit coming from this.

wow. The twist keep turning.

It seems obvious the teen wasnt reaching for a weapon as I would think it would have been rported a gun or something would have been found by now. In that situation, the daughter has lied and the father has a gun and the teen killed was confined to a room with no way out. The teen was maybe just as scared. Maybe he was reaching for his oants to put on as others have eluded and trying to get up out of there.

Just a very terrible situation. Daughter that lied needs to face some type of charge, Kid is dead if she just cops to knowing him

Waiting for all the facts, but right now I think the dad or daughter need to be charged with manslaughter. I would be raising hell if that was my son that was killed.

Girl and dad should fall under manslaughter charges.

Boy could have rape charges if he is 18.

fricking idiot. Just take solace knowing you're going to produce some white trash slut daughter one day, if you haven't already. So you better get used to all sorts of visitors in the night.

If he is of the belief that shooting this kid was correct, I have a hard time believing your premise.

After 3-4 times the girl would probably stop bringing guys over.

If the dad can consult with a good attorney, he should be able to come up with a plausible story to avoid getting charged.

Jesus Christ.

I'm assuming this kid and the girl were hooking up/having sex. There's a huge issue here and the dad should go to prison.

If it was a break-in, then that's a different story. But I doubt it was. Daughter probably just wanted the dick.

Problem is, he could do that and get away with it because at the end of the day, it's his word against the dead kid's, and the kid isn't talking anymore due to being dead.
