No Lebron just had to join up with 2 other top 5 players. Terrible thread bro.

Lol Lebron needed a former Finals MVP and All Star to win a championship.
And Bosh=Gasol

LBJ is the only one who didn't need Phil

Well to be fair, he was likely NEVER a top 5 player. He was always in my mind a 15-25 ranked type player. Now I think he is a little lower than that, but more because he's not often a focal point. I think he's a very good player, maybe top 35-40 in the league now?

Pau is waayyy better than Bosh, if you're comparing them at their peaks.

People forget how good Bosh was in Toronto. He was a 24/11 guy the year before he went to Miami. He isn't worried about stats as long as the Heat win, but he's still a 20/8 guy easily if he was the "man" elsewhere.

MJ was surrounded by scrubs, Pippen wouldn't be in the top 150 in today's league.

I don't know why we are grouping a fringe top 10 player of all-time with likely the two greatest players of all-time (when it's all said and done) in the first place.

What? Bosh is a top 25 player in the game.

Don't make me search for the countless posts of this board ragging on Bosh as overrated, weak, etc.
Now, all of the sudden he is a premier big man in the game.
ETA: not responding to you, bro.

He's certainly not an unbelievable player, but I can certainly see him being top 25-ish player in the game. He's a good player.

Lol at Big Three? MJ is in his own class...and he didn't win til he had Pippen FWIW.
As for Lebron and Kobe...Duncan doesn't belong in their class? Are big men excluded from this? What about Shaq?

MJ was part of a big 3 too.

Please stop bringing up the grossly over-hyped Bynum whose contributions to the Lakers rings barely rivaled Luc Langley.
Bynum as usual was unavailable in the 2008 Finals, but the following 2 playoffs:
2009
6 pts/5 rbs/1 block in 17 minutes per game( Bynum was barely in the top 7 /8 of the Lakers rotation.
2010
8.8 pts/6boards/1.6 blocks in 24 minutes per game(not top 6 of the Lakers rotation)
Luc Longley:
1996- 8.5pts/5 rbs/1-5 blocks in 24 minutes per game
1997- 6.5 pts/5 rebs/1 blk in 22 minutes per game
1998- 8pts/5rbs/1blk in 25 minutes per game
Gasol was a 'soft Euro' who had never won a playoff game(not series but game) in 7 or 8 years in Memphis with a $58 million dollar contract that no one was really interested in.
I doubt if he was any more thought of than Bosh.. Probably considered a lesser player than Bosh or equal at best whose stats/effieciency improved greatly playing along side Kobe.
