Seems to be the thinking is that a 24 is the besr for South LA because of the wave spacing in our area. That boat would be the last hull that you buy.

It can also be tweaked with a quickness, the ease of customization on alloy boats is gravy

I'm a huge fan of the custom aluminum boats. They're heavy but I still like them a lot.

i wonder if that jack plate gives it a good ride. It looks like one of the boats on Gaudet's website.

Really really depends on the build

Most all of Gaudet boats are built like that. My fishing buddy runs a 25' with the same sponson for the motor. It helps with the ride but it still porposies a little bit. However it's truly a great boat. When my boat dies, or I find a used one to the specs I want I'll have one.

If you can wait a few years I'll build you one

I'll hold my breath and maybe the boat urge will go away!!
That 1993 kenner I have looks better any time I think reasonably.

I'm the same way with a 2001 Bay Stealth. Most hate them, I think they are great boats. Will suit me fine until something better comes along esp since it's paid for!

I have a pacific 19
Built in 2001 and has been rode hard and put away wet it's whole life
I would never go back to a plastic boat

Bay Stealths are probably some of the best bay boats ever made.

That boat has been on the market for WELL over a year

wonder whats wrong with it

There is a decent looking aluminum Gaudet bay boat parked in front of Gaudet's with a for sale sign on it.
I drive by it every day. I could stop by and get details if anyone is interested.

Have an Xpress 22SS Bay Boat. Love it. It takes a pounding and fishes great. Takes rough weather other boats can't go in. You get wet, but you feel safe...

I got Lobels to make me a custom (my design)19'r 9 yrs ago. Put a rhino liner in it,115 Yamaha and never looked back. The hull is a high sided bay boat clone, very dry, drafts 6 " and gets me outside on decent days with no problems. I'm a big fan..

Wait, are you serious?

I would also check out American Aluminum Marine if you are in the market for a custom aluminum bay boat. It is one of the Gravois sons making recreational boats since Gravois is doing government contracts now. Very high quality boats coming out of there i think they are in Thibodaux.
