They probably told Nike that they wanted their away kit to be something that was the definition of America. The good people at Nike did what they were told and gave us a kit that was both obnoxious and awesome.

I'll reserve my judgement until I've seen the actual kit itself (shirt, shorts, and socks together), and not just the shirt.
