I do sort of by the job...
Short stint (an hour or 2), 30 or 40 bucks.
A long night out, 50 - 60.
Over-nighter, 100 - 125.
You get the pic... Kinda need a higher rate for short stints, or it's not worth their time. Longer stints are worth it for the total payout.

I pay $60 when we go out on the town 3-4 hours. The old lady likes to do $10 an hour and tries to figure it to the minute when we're pulling up.

$7.50 an hour
Should be plenty enough since our child is only 3 Months old.
Right... since what you want for your child is discount baby sitting.

We pay our Nanny $17/hr and $20/hr off time baby sitting
Eta: she tutors, makes lunches, cleans kitchen, folds laundry, and lays down the law during the week.
We cover her on holidays as well. Regardless of if we take leave and hang with kids. She's valuable and we will NOT lose her.
.....all cash.....no taxes. She's a college student too.

Usually give her a 100 but that's for a blow job too.

We have 3-4 girls who are 16-17 years old that sit for us. We know them all from our girls dance academy and we pay them $9.00 an hour. They love our kids and even come and get my 11 year old daughter sometimes to take her shopping on a random Saturday or Sunday. That is at no charge.
Fortunately, with 4 girls to call who are all responsible and reliable, we are not in a position of having to pay a premium for the service. Just a fair price for a 16-17 year old.
