Remember turning on ABC World News every day in he late 70's and early 80's to see if today would be the day that Peter Jennings informed us that WWIII was starting. Also anytime they broke into regular broadcasting with this....

We were told in elementary school that there was an impending nuclear war in addition to other ecological disasters. My third grade teacher walked into class one day with a gas mask and told us none of us would live to be 18.

People in the 70's basically lived like the world would end soon. Maybe that's why they partied so hard.

I remember my great uncle (WWII vet) told me and my brother something along those lines. I think I was about 8 and my brother would have been 10. Freaked us out and pissed our grandmother off to no end.

Anyone from the 80s should be familiar with a swatch!

For the techies, 10 Megabyte hard drive for mere $3500!!!

Anyone who played Karate Kid on the original Nintendo knows how much of a pain this game was. You got hit a few times, fell in some water or something. And had to start all over from the beginning!!

Without looking it up and going by memory, I think Genesis became Mike and the Mechanics after Phil went solo.

Wasn't it Peter Gabriel then Phil Collins as lead for Genesis?

Do you represent the People? My kids are in their teens and they love the music and the cheesy teen movies.
I'm not saying I am, but it's trending for people to complain about too much 80's nostalgia. I grew up right in the middle of it, so I'll never get sick of it. Others complain.

The tv episode that gave us the very first "cliffhanger" to end a season:

For a young boy in the 70's, this was one of the greatest toys imaginable by Man, God or beast:
