I remember visiting my grandmother in the hospital when I was about in 7th grade or so and they had one of these in the hospital cafeteria. First pack of smokes I ever bough (Vantage was the name of brand if I remember correctly) came from that machine.

Remember turning on ABC World News every day in he late 70's and early 80's to see if today would be the day that Peter Jennings informed us that WWIII was starting. Also anytime they broke into regular broadcasting with this....



I always expected the news to be that Soviet missiles were on their way while Soviet tanks fanned out over West Germany... Basically the end of the world.
