If someone got a DWI in BR and then moved away to another state, what can/will be done by BRPD?

Does that warrant ever expire?

I knew you frickers would 'rape' me but this is a rare serious question. I assume this person will eventually be in some BIG trouble, rightfully so.
It's NOT ME, boobheads!

depends on where you move to, louisiana, mississippi, and i believe arkansas have a tri state agreement that they will extradite you for misdemeanor charges
if you move to say Utah, you'd probably be ok, but theres a chance as technology increases in the future that this could come back to haunt you
and no that warrant never expires so if you get pulled over in louisiana you'd get cuffed and sent to jail immediately

I didn't think so. This frickhead needs to own up and take care of their business.
Thanks for the first real answer.

Tell your friend that they need to man up and face the consequences of getting a DWI.
If not, they can and will find them and bring them back to Louisiana, with serious charges

Will do. And does it get mo worser over time? Like it's been 3 years and they stay on the lam for 6, is the fine that much greater? I'm trying to get them to get shite taken care of NOW.

Nah, La hates to extradite to Tx for felonies so you know they aren't going to go for misdemeanors.
If it is a misdemeanor they wont extradite you. You will eventually have to pay the fine though

Tell him/her to click their heels three times and repeat "I wish my dwi went away."
It worked for me.

Bench warrant. You've got to go to court, deal with the original charge, and pay the warrant fine
Get arrested somewhere else and you'll be in jail for a while waiting to get transported here
