Lenny's sandwich shop. The only thing about Mobile I miss. But man that's some phenomenal sandwiches.

did you go to the parade tonight?

or are you just going to try and catch the LaShe parade tomorrow night?

the real good ones start on Thursday, that one is the Stripers parade.

then Crewe of Columbus rides on Friday. Those parades have a ton of floats.

Go to the Battle House bar. It's a block over from your hotel. The parade tonight sucks.

Go to Hayley's if you want to get laid. It's across the street from Hero's sports bar and next door to Boo Radley's on Dauphin Street. All safe walking distance from your hotel

I am at the renaissance so the parade was right in front so I went out, got pegged on the face by some heavy arse beads and bought an overly expensive Auburn mug.

The bar her has 3.50 sweetwater drafts which is an absolutely awesome deal! Drink here!

You should definitely take a walk down the street and check out the Battle House hotel. Get a drink and go to the 6th floor rooftop deck. Great view of downtown and awesome hotel

Stay downtown. True, Callaghans, the Trellis Room, the Bicycle Shop, Heroes, and Spot of Tea all within walking distance of the hotel downtown.

I'll be in town the weekend before for the Alabama Confederation of Clubs meeting. We'll try to not tear the town up too bad before you arrive.

I had a real good run at that bar from 2006-2008.

I would but I have to be down that way by the ship yards early in the morning for work.

But you make sure and enjoy yourself, sir.

I haven't gone to any parades yet but I plan on doing it big for Joe Cain on Sunday.

Pretty good advice in this thread, except Callaghans is a long fricking walk from the Riverview. Royal Scam right across Royal St has damn good food.

Good choice. Their "Lafayette" burger (blue cheese and bacon ) is darn tasty, too.

I also now realize you need to pay attention to the parade floats as they tend to throw beads at a high rate of speed at your head.

True. Also, don't take your eye off a float that has passed you and start looking toward the next one until it is out of range. Thats a rookie mistake that is sure to get you beaned.
