For everybody who seems to think that the UGA loss doomed this teams chances of making the tourney, it would appear you are off base. Plenty of other bubble teams lost too and there is still a month of basketball to be played. You need Insider access to pull up the article but i've copied a brief excerpt below. This is the biggest week of the LSU's season in my opinion, given they have 2 winnable road games (with @ Arky being more difficult certainly). If we can find a way to win, we'll be in pretty solid shape.
Last Four In (and % chance of making field):
- Providence(50%)
- LSU (45%)
- BYU (40%)
- Mizzou (40%)
Projected First Four pairings
March 18: NEC/Robert Morris vs. BIG SOUTH/UNC Asheville (East, No. 16 seed)
March 18: Brigham Young vs. LSU(South, No. 11 seed)
March 19: WAC/Utah Valley vs. SWAC/Southern U. (Midwest, No. 16 seed)
March 19: Providence vs. Missouri (East, No. 12 seed)

All the bubble teams are losing games. LSU has to find a way to win on the road. This is likely the biggest week for LSU basketball. If they can win both of these games then I think they legitimize their chances.

The best case scenario I see here is finishing 6-2 to complete the season at 21-9 and getting that double-BYE in the SEC Tournament. From there I could see us winning our first game and making it to Saturday where I see us going out.
But in the end if we lose there, is 22-10 with our best win being against Kentucky and a sweep of Missouri (prognosticating) good enough to earn an auto bid?
