Update: Jacksonville State's Ryan Perrilloux suspended for opener
He still didn't "get it" at Jacksonville State!
Makes me think Miles got it right........

Lot of pathetic people in this thread.

I blame the writer for at least part of this. RP came of way, way better during the KnuckleBall reality show than he did in this article.
I also find it funny that the article operates under the supposition that RP would have been the starter as a RS Freshman in 2006 at UT. Nevermind that Colt McCoy ended up being one of the best college QBs ever.

The whole part about the National title game just shows how immature he was at that point in his life.

Did you forget that RP is a key reason why LSU won the SECCG?
Uh, LSU had the lowest offensive output of the year in that game, and thats with Hester rushing for 120 yds. If not for a pick 6 with 10 min left, there is a good chance LSU loses that game 14-13

he also got kicked out of john curtis in grammar school

I was expecting to feel some sympathy for the kid when I clicked the link. And upon completion of reading... Nope. Dude blames everyone else. Wow.

He hasn't "disappeared completely". He is my Facebook friend and we've chatted.

Sorry to break it to him, but with every level increase there is a decrease in recognition. College is a bigger beast than high school, nd there are a lot of stars on a team instead of one. The coaches also probably saw entitlement in his eyes and played down his "stardom" to tame the ego beast. Treated him like everybody else, since he's on a team. This isn't fricking figure skating.

he was never mentally ready to ever start at LSU. can't blame miles for any of his downfall.. If he was half as good or ready as he thought he was he would of played.

This site spends more time rehashing all the biggest losers in LSU history...C.C. & R.P....why...with all the great things going on at this our beloved LSU! WHY live in the gutter!!!!

ITT people still hate RP even though he could've won LSU a heisman and another Title (and hell, because of him we won at least one).
Yet they love the confidence of LF coming in saying he'll win a heisman his freshman year as well as a NC.
The fact is LSU fans make their minds up one way or another and that's that. I knew RP during that whole BR media shite show and you know what? He was a nice guy. He is a nice guy. It's a goddam shame LSU fans do this to their own.
I'm sure he is a nice guy.
That doesn't change the fact that he was immature, selfish, and had an entitled attitude the entire time he was at LSU. He was given every opportunity to succeed. Sadly, he felt he should be given playing time rather than earning it, and used that as an excuse to "act out" off the field.
If he had the work ethic of Flynn, or even Jamarcus during his time at LSU, he would have been a fantastic player here. But he has no one else to blame but himself. The whole "wrong place, wrong time" and "red flags" stuff is bullshite.

Does RP consider "acting out" pulling a gun on the son of an NFL GM or is he referring to being pulled over drunk as shite, refusing to get out of his car, and then promptly failing a drug test for cocaine which lead to him getting booted?
I suppose you could consider either story him "acting out"
RP has always been an arrogant, entitled little shite and this article does nothing to change that opinion of him.
I can't believe he has the nerve to whine about "not being treated like #1 recruit." Like all of his problems would have been fixed had we handed him the job over the future #1 overall pick and another guy still active in the NFL.

You're an idiot. If you "knew" him, while he was fricking up, you should feel partly responsible for minimalizing his mistakes.

Hasn't changed a bit. Someone else's fault.
Yep, we all know Miles puts the best talent on the field.

Wait, what??? When did he do all that?

The QB has to be a leader. A team leader. RP has none of those qualities.
I take 2 things from this article:
1. You just won the friggin national championship. You just inherited the starting job of said team for the next year. All you think about is how awful it was cause you only played 2 snaps. Good god.
2. This contention that Miles lied to him...shut up. One thing that les has shown over and over is that freshmen will get on the field if they are deserving. Miles didn't lie to RP. Jamarcus was better. By the time Russell left, Flynn was the better option.

I think once Ryan P. got to JSU he quickly changed his tune. It sucks for him that the NFL was trying to repair it's imagine during the time he was draft eligible. But, that's just how the ball bounces I guess.
Another apologist for RP....If he was good enough he would be playing in the NFL. Nobody passed on him because they were repairing their image. Money trumps image every time, in the NFL.
I personally believe RP knew he didn't have the confidence or had lost his confidence in his ability to compete at the highest levels. Thus the need to save face and blame everyone else for his dismal life. imho

NO, LSU fans did not make up their minds...RP made up everyones mind about who he was with his sense of entitlement, implanted in his mind by people like you.
