Interesting that serial killing seems to be the most popular activity.

The book Devil in the White City is about HH Holmes and the Worlds Fair in Chicago in 1896. DiCaprio is making it into a movie. He will play HH Holmes.

If you had been constantly passed up for promotion by less qualified people due to politics and untrue allegations, were infuriated with the way foreign and domestic policy was being handled, and on top of that had congress demanding you pay them because of paperwork that was lost during a retreat, you might not be so warm to a very new "America" (which was fiercely divided and hardly "united" at this point.) either.

How is The Sundance Kid the worst person from Pennsylvania? He was a member of a gang that didn't resort to violence and he isn't known to have killed anyone.

Jerry Sandusky was born in Washington, PA. He is the worst person from PA IMO.

Hamilton was the worst Founding Father IMO. All he cared abut was the establishment of a National Bank.

People act like a country in it's infancy was infallible.

Politics were still politics and politicians still politicians. They weren't gods. I like Aaron burr and wish he would have succeeded. Would have been interesting to say the least.

Imagine if politicians who got pissed off about mudslinging and other crap called each other out to duel.

David fricking Duke

I assume he's from Louisiana, is that wrong?

If Huey Long hadn't put LSU on the map and torpedoed other state college athletic programs, I'd say him in a landslide. That dude was an unabashed communist.

How much power did he really have? I mean, just because you don't like someone's politics doesn't make them "the worst person"
Hell, Ray Nagin probably did more harm to the state.

What for killing an ex VP in a duel?

Aaron Burr was considered a slimeball of his day with no class or integrity. Hamilton, by comparison, was very well thought of. It would be like if Rahm Emanuel killed General Tommy Franks.

Agreed up to the point where you kill a beloved American figure. Then you're called a murderer and a pariah. It is fitting that they had to leave New York to go to Jersey to duel, because Jersey.

because New York had a penalty of death for dueling. jersey didn't.

Hamilton also fired his gun so it wasn't just a murder in cold blood
