Have friends going this weekend, and looking for someplace they can still drink...beers, etc.

They're gonna want something non-smoking. I'd consider Barcadia.

Barcadia....just saw you have to be 21 after 9, i'm pretty sure game will still be going on. Also do they have tvs there?

Yeah they have several TVs, but I didn't know that about kids after 9. That probably won't work. Rum House would work but they don't take reservations and it gets rather crowded .. not sure if you want to wait.

You'd have better bets in Metairie.

Gordon Biersh on Poydras.
Probably can get them in Vitascope in the Hyatt, but I'm not sure age of kids, so that might not be all that friendly.
If you don't want to plan on great food or service, Mannings on Fulton.
Most of your major hotels have tv set ups. I know I watched a game in the bar area of the Hilton Riverside with my kids once.

Told them maybe Franky and Johnny's or Cooter Browns.
Their kid is 16, they are coming for the marathon. Think they are staying downtown.

Manning's. Walk-On's.
Posted on 1/31/14 at 12:15 pm to Winkface
Yeah walk ons would probably be the easiest.

If they let youths at the bar tables, this has the best big game (sports bar) atmosphere compared to other options

Jealous? If only you were young and limber.

To the OP
I think Bayou Beer Garden would be an option.
It's a big outdoor space. I think I've seen youngsters in there.
