I survived my 1st trip to vegas

Took my 1st trip to vegas last week & had a great time. All in all it was an awesome trip & it was great to spend some quality time with my wife. We learned a lot about vegas during our brief 4 day stay...
Hotel: I went against the advice of the OT & booked a deluxe king @ the luxor for 4 nights Wed-Sat for $375.
I took my chances & tried the $20 trick at the front desk during check in. All I did was put a $20 bill in between my drivers license & my credit card, handed it to the woman at the front desk & asked if they had any complimentary upgrades available. The woman palmed the $20, stuck it in her pocket & we got upgraded to a pyramid suite & she also was able to waive the resort fee.
Room was very nice. Bed & pillows were super comfortable. Room had a full size walk in shower, big jacuzzi style garden tub (no jets, just big like a jacuzzi), 2 - 42" flatscreen TV's, seperate living room with a really comfortable couch & chairs & mini fridge. Room also had 2 AC units so it was very comfortable even when we had them set on low.
The only thing that the room did not have was a microwave or wireless internet. There was a wired internet connection though.
Cabs: Even though the luxor is all the way on the end of the strip, I don't think we paid more than $15 for a cab ride the whole time we were there. All the cab drivers we encountered were very friendly & helpful with the exception of one russian prick who was apparently offended when I gave him $15 for a $13.10 fare & told him to keep the change. He actually threw 2 $1 bills out the window as he dove off. LOL Dude must have been having a bad night...
We took a total of 14 cab rides to various places while we were in vegas & to my suprise, NONE of the cab drivers were of any help what so ever in helping to locate party favors. The most common answer from them was "Ask a black limo driver"...
Incase anyone was wondering, it is way too fricking far to walk from the luxor to the hardrock casino. There isn't a damn thing worth seeing on E. harmon dr. Lesson learned, we walked the 1st time & them took a cab after that... It was truly an epic fail on our part!!!
AVN/AEE: The Adult Entertainment Expo was in town while we were there, this is the main reason we were in vegas. The expo is cool but it's not all that it's hyped up to be. Yes there are half naked women walking around pretty much everywhere, but it honestly got old pretty fast. We got the 3 day VIP pass but we easily wakled through the entire show in 1 day. It was fun & we got a bunch of free shite (dvd's, lube, toys...). The after parties were pretty amazing though. we saw tons of big named talent & had a great time at all the clubs.
It should also be noted that the only porn star in the world that looks the same in real life as they do on camera is Ron Jeremy. I saw 25-30 A-list stars upclose & personal & to be honest it was a bit of a let down. I was really suprised at how much less attractive these women actually were in person. Jesse Jane was probably the only female star that looked like I thought she would in real life, but even she was different.
Casinos: We played slots & table games at the following casinos:
Luxor
Excaliber
New York New York
HardRock
Palazzo
By far the best drink service was at the Palazzo. When you get a Grazie players card & play slots, all of their machines have a "drinks2U" function where u can order drinks directly off the machine. Everytime i ordered a drink I had it in my hand in less than 5 minutes. Great service!!! Hardrock was a close second where the drinks were concerned but all the casinos had decent service & we never had any trouble getting a drink. We tipped $1 per drink & the waitresses just kept the drinks coming.
Hookers: 10PM - 6AM Working girls were very easy to spot on the walkway between the Luxor & Excaliber. Those hoes like their McDonalds!!! LOL

I've been to Vegas for 21 years straight at least once per year. You had a horrible Vegas experience apparently. Don't worry, you'll learn.
