Law School Tuition Advice

I got accepted to Tulane, SU and LSU. Im going to law school so that's not an option guys.
LSU gave me a scholarship but ill still owe $50k unless I earn a merit based scholarship (at least thats what someone told me, im not sure if they offer those or not).
Tulane will be much more and SU much less.
Any advice on any scholarships I can look into and any advice on LSU Law (probably the one ill pick) would be greatly appreciated

I've got nothing useful so say then.
$50K in loans will suck when you only make 40k per year.

I don't think the subsidized student loans exist anymore. You're looking at 6.8% from the day you sign on the dotted line.
That can be an albatross around your neck for years to come.

If you are going to make a dumb decision no matter what people tell you...LSU and its not even close. SU sucks and the tuition/added education differences make Tulane not worth the additional debt.

Yea I'm trying to find a way to pay for grad school. at least $12k in tuition and then living

The only thing that makes SU even remotely competitive is its low cost and night program. It's bar passage rate is abysmal.

Good attorneys can come from Southern. And I agree the night program and costs make it a decent option for some

I went through their night program. Go to LSU.

Of those three choices and the fact you are going no matter what, LSU.

LSU obviously. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a part time job right now and work your arse off to save some money and reduce the amount of loans you need to take out (at least some of your living expenses)

Is there a market for top tier law grads or is just the middle tier and below that are getting hurt? I was just wondering because I have a buddy going to UVA and I know they are one of the best rated ones.

LSU and don't look back. Tulane is NOT worth full freight.

Brother graduated UVA Law in 1990. If in the top couple of spots, he can write his own ticket.

I have heard and thought about doing my first year at southern because it's affordable. It'd allow me to see if law school is for me and I can then transfer to LSU.

FWIW, I know two very successful lawyers who went through the SU program and are doing extremely well for themselves. Also, both passed the bar the 1st time.

it's all what you are willing to put in to it.
