It's fascinating how many people believe anything these guys say given how much incorrect info they've been putting out lately. Seems to me these guys are throwing out everything they hear whether it's true or not.

this. The guys who are accusing Alleva forgetting football is our cash cow are hysterical. The guy was a college quarterback, he has a better understanding of football than the great majority of posters on here. I highly doubt finances is the issue at hand.

It better be, otherwise that means Alleva is just flat out overriding Les' authority on hiring asst.coaches. That would be so much fricking worse.

Because those are the only two scenarios it could possibly be, right? That damn Alleva!

Why else would Alleva block the hiring of a fricking OL coach?

I think the guy is saying that he doesn't believe Alleva is blocking a hire.

Why do you believe this to be true?

Exactly, Alleva doesn't seem to be the type to intervene with hires anyways. We already overpay frank Wilson, so I don't see why Alleva would stop les now. Also this is Cameron's hire, and Alleva knows he has to keep him pleased so he doesn't leave for greener pastures

Alleva wouldn't agree to the salary.

C'mon Man ... money is not an issue. When winning a national championship brings a bizzion dollars into your program...seriously don't think they are going to worry about a few cents here and there.

Go ask Bama about their investment.

Hopefully someone called in and asked Mike if we still had money tied up in Jerry Rice's contract.

Yeah, the only time anyone actually believes Scarborough is if it's something against Alleva

The simple mathematical formula at play here is Hanagriff >>>>>>>>>> Scarborough in terms of who I would believe first. Draw your own conclusions.

he did indeed say that right now we're on the hook for 7 figures worth of dead money to coaches not on the staff

I read between the lines and take it to mean Alleva won't let them cut ensminger loose also.

Never did like Alleva.

I don't think money is an issue, but I do believe Alleva needs to go. My biggest reason is Miles' buyout, we may not want to fire him, but we should have that option. Next is Caldwell, I know it is the market, but she was not a proven coach, and UCLA was not paying her enough to justify the bump in her salary. Then there is the parking, and gameday issues, etc. Lastly I am still upset how he handled the Duke thing, so yeah we can get rid of Alleva, but not for this.
