Watched the highlights and was impressed with the kid. I think he has a big upside and could be easily coached up to be a good lineman. To be honest, I thought he looked as good as any tackle we have had in the last few years. He is NOT FAT! I'm tired of linemen looking like and waddling around like sumo wrestlers!

If it weren't for all of the "non LSU graduate" fans, LSU would look similar Moo State and not everyone's parents were able to pay for their college experience, douche nozzle

Always hard to tell with these small school guys because they are usually so much bigger than everyone else when watching film.

South Lafourche is not a small school, nor is the competition they play.

Small school?

He is proud to be a Fighting Tarpon from South Lafourche High School. They are a 5A High School, the largest designation in the state.

If he would commit, can we get a promise that he not be allowed to speak to the media for atleast a year? Those "Tick" south lafource accents would not play well on ESPN.

Props to all the boys DDB (Down Da Bayou).

This kid has all the potential to be the real deal. Size and intelligence. Conditioning and technique can be taught and apparently he is easy to coach from what I've read. Bama and FSU like him enough to make him an offer, WHY HAVEN'T WE OFFERED HIM YET?

Is it safe to say that if a guy is 6-7, but can't make it as an offensive tackle, he is then moved inside to guard....but never the other way around?

Decommitted from Vandy, so I assume good in the classroom and no character issues?

Clearly you haven't followed Vandy football lately.

I prefer llama matta so I can spit with no repercussion. And screw all you bastardos who root for the New Orleans Saints and don't live in New Orleans. Get your own team.

seached for notes on Granier about to see if he's "nasty", and yes I agree. Nasty is good, like Clapp.

Found some highlights, looks nasty to me. Dude enjoys pushing people where they don't want to go for sure.

LINK
and actually enjoyed the music!

something key I noticed: the knock on this kid is his feet. I know it's highlights and all, but no one was going outside on him. He even pancaked a few on outside rushes. You only do that if you're moving faster in the same direction as the other guy.

I'll take that. Williford was a solid contributor to this o line. I hated seeing his career ending the way it did.

Hopefully Granier can get that offer. Its been a while since they've had a kid from down here on LSU.

I been saying this since he came on the scene. I've seen just about everyone of his games. I don't think he has the feet to be a tackle at LSU, but he can definitely be a tall Josh Williford type guard. SL used him as a guard sparingly and mostly on run plays but when he was he blew open huge holes. I remember watching the ESJ game and he played a good bit of OG that game and he was handling ESJ's 300lb DT.
