Thanks. MY FIL has all the equipment. My FIL and my wife's uncle literally built the entire second floor of the house. However, this was when he was much younger. I just don't want to look like too much of an idiot in front of him.

Which OTers house did you hang this in?

Right. It obviously wasn't mine. Maybe the guest house.

Hanging is fairly straight forward - it's floating and taping that are more labor intensive and difficult - akin to the difference between pouring and finishing concrete (although not as extreme a difference).

It's not hard doing the hanging. Floating is the hard part.

Price of cake but overhead work = you're gonna eat it...

Crap. We have to do part of the ceiling. FIL had an overflow in the second floor bathroom. Have to replace ceiling and at least one wall. Not sure what the damage is in the basement.
check out youtube - I believe there is a video on there that shows how to build a "T" that you walk under the sheetrock - it looked like out of about 3 or 4 2x4's.

I pay $.25/Sf for hang, finish, texture. So I wouldn't consider touching the 1st sheet

Use lipstick to mark for outlets and switches. Will give you perfect measurement for cut outs.
