This is what the fans want, but to be fair to Nuss you have to have a dominant defense and a great OL. We had neither this year,

That has NEVER been Saban's MO. Even at LSU. Same with Miles.
You are right to an extent. Saban and Miles certainly have leaned more to this strategy more than hardly any other coach in the country in the past several years. I think their records show that it works.
Lets harken back to the Fun and Gun era of the 90s when Florida took the SEC by storm. Despite having an offense that dominated almost every defense they faced, why could they never go undefeated?

While the offensive coordinator in 2005, USC's offense was in the national Top 6 in every statistical category, including tops in total offense (579.8) and second in scoring offense (49.1), and set Pac-10 records for total offense yardage, first downs, points scored, touchdowns and PATs. The Trojans scored 50 points a school-record 7 times. USC became the first school to have a 3,000-yard passer, a pair of 1,000-yard runners and a 1,000-yard receiver in a season.
Had fantastic personnel that year. See 2013 USC before and after he left as a more recent indicator of his capabilities.

Not good for LSU. Stud recruiter and more than competent playcaller and QB coach

The last years of his career tell me otherwise

Kiffin runs a pro-style offense, which fits with Saban's style of ball control and a physical running game. But Saban has said recently that he's open to upping the tempo to adapt to attack defenses.
Please let this happen.

This is a pretty big step in Saban's process of creating a Mordor here in the USA.

What about the years when that was his primary responsibility? No argument that his HC stint at USC was a disaster on several levels. Scholly restrictions they dealt with are often ignored or under appreciated.

That said, I don't know how feel about DN. He never felt like a fit.
I guess you know more as a Bama fan than I but I was pissed when y'all signed DN as the OC. I thought he was a great hire and is a really really good offensive minded coach. For one I am thrilled to see him gone

The 2 years at USC? I don't see any QBs he's developed.

He was the primary playcaller while HC at USC. That offense was his and the offense was miserable. There was a major difference at USC with the offense when he wasn't in control any more. Not to mention the disaster of the QB situation he created over there.

Alabamas personnel is pretty fricking fantastic

Kiffin would be a good hire IMO. He was a disaster as a head coach, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good coordinator. And he's a helluva recruiter too. e's not suited to be a head coach, but I think he'd flourish as a OC.

Norm Chow built that USC offense.

They're relying on Sims or a backup from Florida St.
Let Lane go ahead and "develop" those guys like he developed his 3 headed 5-star QB Monster @ USC

Kiffin to Bama is not a good thing for those jumping for joy saying he's a cancer!
