Cat is probably 3 months old and somewhat friendly. I trapped it and looking for ideas to make it get use to people.

Are we talking an actual wild animal, like a bobcat?

I did the same thing with a feral LSU kitten. She is bat shite crazy and very much wild at times as an adult. Doesn't matter what you do.

depending on what she/he has experienced, might be easy or impossible to do what you really want.
3 months is not old at all though. dont force anything with cats. one of my outside cats took me about 6 months before i could pet him.
it took almost two years for my oldest cat to sit on my lap.
let them dictate how friendly the relationship will be

I found a kitten at my work years ago. Put in a room with food, water, and litter. It would not come out from under the chair for several days. I would go sit in there from time to time, and eventually he would come out. Would up being the best cat ever, he and my dog were best friends.

My freshman year I lived by some crazy arse older guys at lsu. They had found a cat behind Fred's. (two of them worked there).
This cat lived under their couch and they would toss a hot dog on the floor and it would shoot out, grab it, and run back under the couch.
Thing was wild as shite

Could be older than 3 months, it is still pretty small. Maybe I shouldn't say it's a kitten.
Appreciate the advice. We've already domesticated a trapped cat before, but it was a kitten. Just took a couple of days for it to get use to us.

Alley Cat Allies does not recommend attempting to socialize adult feral cats or kittens older than four months of age.

This is true & very similar to my experience.

Feed it, give it nice things, treat it well then pull the rug out and stop all of that. They will come purring for you, then bring the food back and you got it hooked.
